which torps do you choose for akatsuki?

type 90 mod 1 torps have 5.1% higher speed (+ 3kn), hit 5.9% stronger (+967) and have 6.7% higher flood chance (287% vs 269%) than type 8 mod 2 ones, but they have 8.6% longer reload time (+6 sec) and 6.7% worse concealment (+0.1km)

 

those additional seconds on reload really hurt and i am not sure if the rest makes up for it

I use the upgraded torps. Sometimes, enemies stay that close away from sinking. If reload hurts, get the faster torp reload for skills.

I've got the upgraded (type 90) mounted too, and I really haven't been able to notice a difference. Then again I think I've <50 games random and ranked in her.

I use the upgraded. 6 seconds in the long run doesn't really play a factor to me, and the .1 km detection over the stock is negated by the higher speed.
