“When training your Commander for Duca d'Aosta, these are the first skills you should invest in:

  • Priority Target
  • Adrenaline Rush
  • Demolition Expert
  • Concealment Expert

These skills will warn you when you're being shot, increase your rate of fire as you take damage, improve the fire chance of your HE shells, and reduce your detection ranges. You can then choose to specialize your commander as you see fit.”

While I do agree with the choices, WG we don't need a skill/perk to tell us when we're being shot.   The loss of HP, the sound of the hits and seeing the water splash around the boat will do that.

Regards,

At least it lets you know whether 1 or 12 enemies are targeting you...

Eh I never really cared much for priority target either.  Kind of a useless skill like for example RPF

you should get it though, it will help

it is the #1 or #2 best tier one skill in the game and it makes a HUGE difference in your tactics and gives more info than you apparently think/know.....

just sayiin

it helps you live longer and do more damage and get more stuff done for your team...

but go ahead and dont take it, I like Reds that do not know I have them locked....

Same, I alway put Preventative Maintenance on my ships. It does a lot more for you in the long run anyways. particularly if your'e a DD!:read_fish:

question.....

what if a Player already has good situational awarness though? I've playing DDs and cruisers a lot more lately and almost always know when and where to shoot and as long as I have some nice big islands nearby, I can always dart behind them for cover! I would assume that most players would pick this knowledge/trick up at around tier 5?:amazed:

ok, if you are in a dd and you know that no one has you targeted you dont have to waste a smoke yet....

If you have one person locked you can maneuver... if two or three are locked then you smoke.......

I have had it on ships and have not had it on  others..

I will never have a DD without it or even a cruiser... it makes a difference..

Yeah my sit awareness is keen too... I know when I am detected but the icon like everyone.. BUT knowing the number of ships that have their focus on YOU>??

PRICELESS... and if you get it you will SEE the light... that is all I can say...

Having a 30% chance of keeping your guns is good too... but if you are not being targeted and you know that.... well IMHO PT is a way better skill for DDs and cruisers....

but again like I said, you dont have to have it... I prefer my enemies to know have all that info..

Just assume someone is pointing their guns at you when you're spotted. Assume even more when a ship pops up in thin air. Super assume if you see their guns pointed at your general direction. Really really assume to the max when you see shells flying in your direction. The easy guide to a free priority target. :tea_cap:

I kind of thought the same thing for a while about Priority Target until I started using it. I really kind of like it for a one point skill but only take it around point 13 or so. I prefer the one that protects modules first then get everything thru the four pointers before I take it. It is pretty handy to know how many people are targeting you.

It, like so many others are only useful if you know how to use it.  But for me, its an essential skill.  It lets me know if in a slow BB if I should turn around, or if I can safely turn around and expose my broadside.  I've also had where I think I'm 1 on 1 against another BB, only to see that number go up to 2 or 3, then I know that BB probably isn't alone and has a DD friend.

Cruiser: take PT, your modules that are covered by PM rarely die anyways, excepting certain ones.

DD: choice between PT or PM, because of how easy your modules, that are covered by PM, die

BB: take double floatplane

I highly value PT, but it's not 100% necessary in all cruisers.
