Recently came across this vid and found it interesting,  pretty amazed how much work it actually takes to fire each salvo.  I just cant un-see that in-game.

It is a very interesting video! I can never forget about it ever since I first watched it played aboard USS Iowa museum. If only WoWs have some X-ray function like the-other-game-that-shall-not-be-named.

 

It also reminds us of what a long way the USN have gone through, in an evolution from Ironclads, Predreads, 12inch dreads, 14inch standardized iron tortoises, and eventually to the likes of Iowa... just by viewing how the guns were loaded, how the ammunition were stuck into the guns from below and behind the turret, how the good old gun rammer gave way to automatic delivering systems, how the man-cranked gears and chains gradually got replaced with enormous hydraulics...
