So, just ended a match where the enemy CV (Zuiho, not sure the build but had 2 torp bomber groups and 1 fighter active simultaneously, so that''s gotta be the 2nd flight control mod, yeah?) attacked me with both groups of torpedo bombers, and sent his fighter group in first to take the fire and allow the torpedo bombers to get in close enough to drop at an effective range.  Sure, cool beans; nothing new there.  However, it only took about 3-5 seconds for each fighter of the group to be destroyed until it reached the last remaining fighter of the group.....for almost a full minute, my Graf Spee unloaded round after round after round after round, with 2 catapult planes also engaging the fighter group (which, upon engaging, had already been reduced to a single fighter by my ship's AA) and being destroyed.  The fighters were selected and targeted by my AA and not one of the torpedo bombers fell to my ship's AA.  The single fighter that had absorbed arguably thousands upon thousands of damage, still remained I noticed, as the 2 torpedo groups and lone fighter escort flew away from my sunken Graf Spee.

I asked the guy about the invulnerable fighter plane, and he said "Yeah, he's my ace"..........

Is this some [edited]or......?  :-/

Aircraft destruction is based on a random roll whether or not it is destroyed, they dont have HP that depletes, the HP just determines how likely they are to get blown up. In this case the AA and catapult fighters kept rolling poorly.

Because of the way AA works, theoretically the umikaze can shoot down a midway squadron in a couple seconds, and the Neptune could never see a plane shot down.

Well, my Fuji, Kamikaze-R and Kamikaze have shot down several planes each; with thier '2' AA rating and their rusty, 2x1 mount 25mms, (or whatever it is they have.)

Thanks for the heads up, all.

:read_fish:Silly me...  I read, Modules  =>>  Catapult Fighter I  =>>  Hit Points 1180 & Average DPS 48 for the Graf Spee Catapult Fighter.

:read_fish:And....................  Modules  =>>  Mitsubishi  A6M2   =>>  Hit Points 1210 & Average DPS 44 for the Zuiho A6M2.

:hmm:  -  I guess that's what I get for reading :trollface:

Well, I'd also assume that those are per fighter numbers, so your catapult fighters were outnumbered 2 to 1.
