I've seen every French Ship from T5 to T10. 

Lots of Free Xp got created and spent.

The algerie is a solid ship. she's honestly a better pensacola doesnt turn quite as well atleast doesnt feel that way. Her HE is amazing and AP is more than solid. Torps are sneaky too, but only 3 per side. Big weakness is how squishy she is and her AA is....meh

 

The range is probably the best part of this ship followed by the ROF.

I'm sure I'll eventually work my way down the to the 9s, although all my mates play high tier, so suits me.

I went and XP'ed four ships, the four historic ones, from Tier 4 to Tier 7.  I was too impatient to grind for them.

 

Algerie I feel is a good ship, but unremarkable.  This ship appears to be the very definition of the average, not so bad, not so good heavy cruiser.  Nothing outstanding in both trait and vice. It is a ship that just works, if not a bit boring.  The USN style permaflauge doesn't help either.

 

The ship is definitely playable, I would recommend it but it lacks character.

 

The ship is so dead center I would use it as a standard of comparison with other cruisers.

 

Another way to describe the Algerie is a perfected Yorck.

 

I would say Tier 4, 5, and 6 are the best of the line.  They are fun to play, all the best and the worst of what you expect of a cruiser, the 3D modeling is fantastic (kudos to Lesta's creative developers --- you have outdone yourselves), very beautifully made.  These are what I expect cruisers should be.
