Newb Question: Changing Player Name

I am trying to change my in-game player name, it said I needed 25 dubloons to do so, so I purchased some - which I haven't received after 24 hrs, so looked up my email confirmation of payment, and that email opens as "Dear BadPad".  This is the name I want in the game, but this email is the only place I see it.  So, I went into the Account Management on Wargaming.net, tried to change Username, and it says that name is already in use.  I'm confused.  I think this is where I changed my username to BadPad, more than 1 day ago (although can't be sure), so it it taking forever to change, or am I going about this the wrong way? I don't see BadPad anywhere but in the email reply. 

 

How do I change from default player name, Player_4529915298, to a desired name like BadPad, and where can I see this in-game or in Account Management?

I note I'm Player_xyz here too...so obviously I'm interested in having this changed everywhere, not just on an email reply.

So WG is charging players who try the game without registering 2500 dubloons to change their randomly assigned name?

It won't take affect until a server reset. Could be tomorrow could be a fortnight.

Agreed. I'd just let them change their name to what ever they wanted.

If they are being forced into taking randomly assigned name while trying it out, a one time name change should be offered free of charge....

But that's just me...
