3,999 [V_KNG] Herr_Reitz Beta Testers 13,205 posts Report post #1 Posted April 3, 2017 The WHO (no, not Tommy's WHO) has classified video gaming as a mental disorder the World Health Organization also refers to Gaming Disorder as “recurrent gaming behavior”. Interestingly enough, the whole concept of playing video games is to do so in a recurring manner, although never in an excessive capacity. There is a severe lack of understanding of how video games work, by the look of things.

They actually use the exact same wording for "gambling disorder". They just find/replace gambling for gaming. Edited April 3, 2017 by CapnCappy

Video games are only bad for an individual when someone messed up in the head thinks there last game of COD is acceptable behavior in real life. That affects, what, 2 people who play a game, per that game? I doubt there is a mass influx of people playing first person shooters who get "mentally corrupted" from it and decide to beat the snot out of someone. Nice try for them to label the chronic Pong player as the "Next Great American School Shooter." Fake news indeed.

Between school, fencing, and cheer squad I work my butt off. My Dad worked hard for all the money we have and didn't blow it like my Uncle Alex who went to jail for not co-operating with the Feds or my ex BFF Mandy who can't even get a job babysitting because she buys clothes from TJ MAXX.
