never really COMMENTED about missions before but....

maybe its my fault for not trying to play a CV ever but seems now my KEEP IT CLASSY mission has come to a halt...

I am not really complaining per-say, but for the people that choose to NOT play CVs how about a little PLAN B for these types of missions...there are a few of us that don't play every class I suppose...

Just putting it out there that this kind of thing might seem like a giant PITA for my situation, but it is what it is... maybe you are in the same boat (pun intended actually), or actually NOT in the same boat??

( yeah II know buy a CV try it out, get 10 FLoods....I got too much on my plate already... what with trying to come up with original giof material for all these Threads lately...LOL)

Either buy one and literally just take no more than a few battles in co-op to complete, or don't complain about not being able to finish the mission.

I don't do CVs - tried it for the Graf Spee but sold it and never looked back.  If a mission needs it - oh well.  I don't do it and I move on.

Completing such missions in coop is the one and only reason I keep a Langley in my port.  Took a lot more than one battle, however - lots of no flooding torp hits along the way.

I'd guess the point here is to encourage people to try out a class that they don't normally play.

 

If you don't want to do that -- more power to you. But WG doesn't owe you free stuff just because you don't want to play CVs.

I own all 4 classes, it helps make a better player out of you.

 

What my gripe is this weekend is that we have to grind up almost as much xp in the Mini marathon for just one lousy day of premium. I could have at least gotten some doubloons or something, that would make me grind for sure. But just premium time...

The mini-marathon is not worth grinding for, IMHO.  I mean, what happens happens, but I don't feel that I am missing much out of failing to get a MBM1 or one day of premium.

I am thinking no.... but there were a few missions and "campaigns" that were CV specific.,.. no big deal,,,,

But I did get laid off Tuesday, so maybe while I am home debating a few things I might give them a try.. watch a few vids to see how...might actually be fun,, who knows, it might be fun... are there any You-tubers I should look into for CV play???

I do not own any CVs. Have sold them long ago as I do not like the interface and the constant multi-tasking. I saw the mission ends with CVs. So be it. I wont finish. No big deal for me. I will no play a mode I dislike, and ships I dislike just because.

I hate CV just as much as anyone but it only took me 2 co op games in the hosho to do the mission. As long as these kinds of missions are super easy such that anyone could do it in a low tier ship I don't see a problem with it.

  Yep- now that I have the first 3 stay classy missions done, I'm treating it like the old daily missions- ie completely ignoring it.  I have ZERO interest in carrier play.   As for the other?  meh- not worth worrying about.

 

 Besides, play today is so lousy, between being RNG trolled; yukky play quality; and being focused like the guy who farted in church, that I'm done for the day.  90% of it is on WG, not the other players, so it's not "weekend syndrome".

It is fun. T4 and T5 don't have manual drops anymore but you may enjoy it. Check aerroon and flamu. Flamu has "low tier guide" on CVs and although manuals are removed at low tiers you will pick some very useful tips.

The mission just says five floodings so any torpedo armed ship should work. A Langley in co-op would get it done the fastest but a DD would work too.

Even disregarding missions rewards, I think it's worth buying a T4 CV and fiddling with it a bit to get an idea of what it's like to play the game in a CV; it will help you when you play other classes. Not like a T4 ship is going to cost you much.

No; it specifically says "Must use a Tier IV or Higher Carrier" (was the tier requirement really necessary?).  This said, you can get 5 floodings in a single co-op CV match, so it's not a particularly onerous challenge.
