At Long Last...

I finally did it! I unlocked the Bismarck, the reason why I went down the German BB line in the first place!

And here she is:

dVB93f0.pngOf course I have plans for her, I already gave her captain the senior command course, and 29,000 elite commander xp of some 30,000 I had around from the elite commander training missions, giving the Bismarck's captain a total of 6 skill points as a result. I also mounted the signal flags zulu hotel and the dragon flag in order to speed up commander training in order to get that 10 km range on her secondaries ASAP.

totally advise reading a few threads on yer cap'n build and maybe watch a couple vids on her (iChase, Notser, etc...) 

 

one thing i always do with a new ship is take her completely stock - nothing added, i mean nothing - into as many as five coop matches. gives you a sense of how she works for YOU. 

 

and congrats - she's a great ship

Tier 1: PM

Tier 2: EM, AR

Tier 3: SI, DE

Tier 4: AFT, Undecided (Manual Secondaries if I find them to be too inaccurate, otherwise Fire Prevention in order to deal with the HE spam)

You're gonna want AFT for the dispersion , FP is almost useless .

I've played 3 battles in coop, and I can now conclude that she is stupidly overpowered against bots, and those secondaries are insane, I've burned a bot to death long after I sank due to the fires still burning on him.

She's a fun ship.  Just wait until you get some more points on your captain (BFT/AFT, manual secondaries, etc)!

She is fun. I unlocked her about 2 months ago. Secondaries built is the best for Bis IMO. I have a 16 point Cap on her, and she is amazing, however, careful how you drive her. With just a few good DDs and 1 BB, you will burn real quick or get torped to the bottom.

In 1 game a while back, was able to take out 3 DDs with secondaries, Cap, take out a NM BB, erase a Clev, and ALMOST remove a Fiji (below 1000HP remaining) before they put me at the bottom of the sea within the first 5 mins of the game. It was an intense fun battle, that's when I learned, never go in full speed and ALONE.

Main Guns are OK, nothing to brag about, but them secondaries, OMG.

 

Have fun with her.

She's a fun ship.  Just wait until you get some more points on your captain (BFT/AFT, manual secondaries, etc)!

 

+1.  Secondary build on her makes her a hoot to play.   The even better news as that it just get better from here.  :)

Another top tip...

 

Throw the premium camo on her if you plan to play her a bunch.  She looks soooo good with it.

I make money in this ship all the time. It's not hard.

Well I'm just starting to play this ship, so profits aren't going to be easy early on, and for those captain skills, I'll never take DCCA with it only lasting 90 seconds and a slower speed doesn't really help, and I'd pick DE, because my secondaries will have an increased chance of fire, and more fires means more damage done to enemy ships, and I'm undecided for my final 4 point skill, since I don't know if it's worth it to increase the accuracy of her secondaries or not, so I'll just decide for myself if they need the increase in accuracy or not.
