That's a Kongou class and a Takao class, but which of the four of each? And what class are the destroyers parked aft of the Kongou class?

I would assume it's either Takao or Atago since they both got remodeled in the 1930s to fix stabilty issues and this clearly looks like a drydock. Looks like either the Kamikaze or Minekaze-class. I see 3x2 torp tubes

Showa 8, 5 ship simultaneous docking experiment.

Haruna, Hatakaze, Matsukaze, Asakaze are in one dock, Atago is in the other.

(New documentation is listing the two big ships as Kongo and Chokai)

I thought two of those tin cans looked like Kamikazes, but wasn't confident enough to call it. Nice bigger pic as well. Thanks Jinxed.

Yeah, Jinxed beat me to ID'ing the DD's at least, managed to zoom in just enough on your pic Lert to confirm the 3x2 layout on torps and see 3/4 guns (the turret just before the double set seems to always be in shadow enough to be hard at best to make out) and all based on the old ONI recognition drawings.
