See Mogami

Spoiler

Poor thing just beached and I think we can both agree he is never getting out.

Spoiler

Now, I know what you're thinking. I'm not that stupid though, and I wait until he's safely inside the arming distance.

Spoiler

See? I'm responsible. I even waited a little longer than this, so the green was pretty much into the mountain before I fired. That way my torpedoes harmlessly plink of his hull as I tease him for getting beached in the worst possible way.

and yet...

Spoiler

If you're going to tell a guy how long it takes for your torpedoes to arm, at least be consistent about it.

I'm going to leave this up anyway, but my mistake is using the arc to determine arm distance and not the indicator. The reason I assumed it was the arc is because most ships don't have such large differences between where the green starts for both like the Zao.

Dude, really? I have absolutely no clue wth you are trying to say here...

You just boasted about TKing someone and blamed it on WG...

You weren't even inside arming range, the torpedos would have been armed before they hit no matter what....

Strange. On another hand, your controls seem interesting. What do you use to shoot torps and shells?

He's trying to say that the torpedo arm distance is incorrect causing him to inadvertently team kill.

The torpedo arm distance is supposed to be the green arc.

With friendlies, there are no safeties.  :red_button:

But in all honesty I agree that it is needed for that to be consistent.

Correct. And from his pics we can clearly see that the torpedo aiming indicator starts before the mogami. So of course the toros armed.

I thought the arming point was where the indicator began.

This.       The  far green is just showing your torpedo arc.   The telegraph for the spread shows the arming distance/ where you are aiming them.

Is it? I don't really see the point of having the indicator and the arc starting at different distances.

I didn't boast about anything.

If you have a mouse with one or two buttons on the side for your thumb, which control 'forward' and back' for page history, that's what my HE and AP shell buttons are in game. Torps is F.

There is a glitch here, the torpedoes arm where your aiming indicator begins. The arc is supposed to be a indicator too but it is glitched here. In this instance the aiming bar is were the torpedoes arm.

As far as I've seen the aiming spread is supposed to be in the arc but here it is not.

Suffice to say that you still shouldn't have fired those torps regardless. He could have easily gotten in there accidentally and couldn't get out, I have suffered the same, so I have no sympathy for you unfortunately.

Not sure what the OP was expecting to happen here.  You can clearly see that the green torpedo arc starts between the Zao and Mogami.  This means that, obviously, any torpedoes fired will arm before striking Mogami.

Also, why are you deliberately TK'ing, and why are you advertising it?

How do your torpedo arches look in subsequent battles with the Zao? I don't have her yet, but the larger green arch seems much too far away from the ship. To me, the smaller arches show a more accurate arming distance.

I can only imagine the awkwardness in chat after this.

"Oh, um.... Sorry? I didn't mean for those to sink you....
