Hello, I play World of Warships on and off and I thought tier 7 was the best tier to play at.

when playing my tier 7 ships it seems that the tier 8 ships are top tier?

I have dug a little bit but only found that some guy said tier 10 was best tier.

What is the best tier to play at?

EDIT:

Thanks to all to you who have replied.

I think tier 7-8 is good for me.

I think I have not gotten into top tier because I was in the German tier 7 Battleships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau

It's whatever tier you have the most fun at. I prefer tier 8-10 personally.

Where do you have the most fun?  Only you can answer that. Who cares what the answer is for others?  There's no wrong answer.

Where you have fun. I actually love tier 4-5-6 because of the unpredictable nature. You need to be ready to face high tiers tho.

Yep, find a ship you enjoy playing no need to over complicate it.

All tiers have their pros and cons with stronger/weaker ships. If you want to make credits tiers 5-8 are best (especially with premium ships) and if you want higher XP tiers 8-10 are best.

Personally I don't enjoy tiers 1, 2 & 3 just too chaotic but all the other tiers are good.

I dislike highest tier because everyone is scared of their shadows. Rightly so tbh. I have three T10's and I've prolly played less than 100 battles total between them. That's how I feel about that meta.

The majority loved T5 before WG decided to change MM to -2/+2 starting at T5. Good ol days.. *sniff*

I still do well there in my Kami R.

I enjoy all the tiers

2-4 Fun derping play

5-6 Fun maniacal play

7-8 Fun quality play

9-10 Fun tense and challenging play

Tier 5 gets -1/+2 MM. Only see T3's if it is a fail division. You get to be bottom tier most of the time making driving a mediocre ship a real pain.

I find Tier 7 to be the best tier to play at. High enough so that every nation's ship are unique but just low enough so you don't encounter the Tier 10 monstrosities of ships that can insta-delete/ruin your day.

I play mostly 5-7 in mostly Cruisers but also 8-10 mostly Cruisers I prefer the lower tier because the game play is usually more action less sniping the higher tier ships have more accurate powerful guns with expierienced players and the BBs if your in a Cruiser can be a tough go and often leads to a more standoffish play also the cost at higher tiers is more for ships

I don't enjoy any tier in particular but my Atago is pretty fun to play. I enjoy the oktohovik (not sure how it's spelt).

I think the tiers are balanced pretty well but it's sometimes tough playing as fusou against tier 8 bibs.

Tiers 4 and 7 are best.  Fun can be had in all.

I have tried just about 20 ships all the way to Tier VIII...everything except a CV.  My conclusions?  DDs are too fragile.  BBs are slow motion boredom. Carriers are probably just as boring.  Cruisers are "where it's at."  I have an Atago, a BB, a DD and a Tier one Cruiser (just for "old school" carnage) but the most fun I have is with my Tier IV Danae...the scourge of battleships!  Hell, my "kid" skipper is now a Commodore and more than halfway to level 12...whatever that is.  My record is four battleships for a point total of 146,931...never seen a higher Tier IV score. Get a Danae and go "Torp City" on a few battleships. Now THAT'S fun!

6, 7 and 8 are my favorites. Tiers 7 and 8 I lean on more than anything, but after repurchasing the Cleveland I have found myself enjoying tier 6 as well.

How do you pick a tier to play at - I know ships have tiers, but is that what is meant in this thread?

Yes, OP, whatever tier you like the most is good to play at - higher tiers having , in general, better players.

7 is best tier.

5 is worst

10 is babysitting

Not quite correct, imho, Mr Deaf.  Babysitting is PvE mode.
