island camo, an alternate rant

I only score tops on my ranked teams when I have no stars left to lose. the rest of the time I score 2nd or 3rd. yes, with my crappy damage average. because yes, the teams I play on are usually that bad. it's hard to build up a big swollen head when you score 2nd with zero kills, no caps, and 41k damage in a T7 BB.

WG set it up so i can lose 7x battles in a row repeatedly. i have yet to win 7x battles in a row. in fact, it's 4 wins in a row. in 2k+ battles.

matchmaking is actually mismatching. play on one of my teams, you will feel it.

if I generate a lot of damage, I won't sink anything. except that one time.

I only have really good games in a loss. which is a bit of an oxymoron, as typically in the really bad losses, I don't stay alive long enuff to do much damage. or shouldn't anyway.

my teams are magnets for TKers. is 8% of the WoWs player population TK status?? or just broken random MM?

my teams are magnets for rabid, unbalanced 12 year olds with excellent communication skills. they communicate just how messed up they are fast.

the last 3 times I earned high caliber, I sank nothing. it was in losses. anybody else can brag about this?

I have yet to be in a game when at least 3 teammates were not hiding behind islands. out of range. full HP.

I have an uncanny knack of heading precisely where the main fleet of the enemy is heading. if I turn around, and head the other way, there they are. I try to tell my teammates, they don't listen. nobody listens to me.

I have to explain what 'push' means. in a T9 battle.

I have to help out with math. if the enemy is ahead, they do not have to cap, sink any more of us, or even fight. they can play just like we are and win.

73 : 880 is not a GG. for us. even if I got high caliber and dreadnaught.

I am ALWAYS on the south or west team. with 4 or 5 exceptions. I actually don't know how to play or steer if it's backwards.

support explains "we want a game in which sometimes circumstances work for you, and sometimes against you." (ed. note: real quote) 50% success with that goal, they have the part down where it works against me. kudos. now, please, maybe work on the other half?

you know RNG is not going to help your case when you do 760 damage 4x in a row at 10.7km with full broadsides in your FDG. vs a kutunov. meanwhile, he has started 4 fires, not missed, and has a cit. with HE. in a kutunov. yeah, I know, it's Russian.

they WILL nerf your favorite ship. glad they are not medics. arterial bleeding here, get a bandaid with picture of slyvester!!

how are the 420's? so good, if you pick a big enuff island so you can actually hit it, you can see the craters at 11 km. otherwise, 760 damage.

"watch out for my torps"  uh, [edited]  thank you for the warning, it was my fault for running into them. saaaay have you ever heard of WASD?? yep, I can turn this thing, and even change the speed! if I stay on the same heading, same speed, guess what happens? then THEY torp me. or the kutunov burns me down.

CHEATER!! never saw you in a BB. FDG with 13.6 visibility, longer range. Pensacola at 14km, broadside, straight line. he was not behind the island when I fired, no obstruction when he did move behind it. so yeah, I cheated.

yes, that benson can burn down a T9BB with invisifire solo. saw him once in 4+ minutes, he did not stop firing the entire time. turned into him, hoping to turn the 2ndaries loose, but he never showed. well played on his part, but not much fun. the rest of the team was hiding behind islands out of range. GG!

ALL the naval academies in the entire world focus on how to hide behind islands, and reversing off the map in BBs. surprised it's not a real thing. equally surprised BBs have rudders. all we really need is forward and reverse. USN launched a new ship!! it can go 38kts in reverse, and has it's own island camo!!

 battle begins! "which way" "where to" "A or B" "plan?" A, because it's farther, more islands for their extra DD to hide in, and 2 of our BBs are apparently DCed. one and 1/2 minute later, I have to ask "i thought A was the one that has an 'A' on it?" and/or "we have 2 BBs with no support, way out of position..." about this time, our BBs join the battle! yay! "need support" and, of course, "pay attention to square ____" 8 times. meanwhile, their carrier has spotted the entire map, our carrier had not moved, and launched one bomber squad. at precisely 2:45, our solo rogue DD in C gets sunk, detonation. let the abuse begin!! :o) "this team sucks, worst ever, what a bunch of [edited] ****s." I headed towards A. of course, that is where the enemy main fleet headed as well. as soon as our fleet noticed this, they ran south. their carrier noticed the lonely BBs and torped them. we're down by 5 ships (zero sunk) and 2 caps (none capped) at 5 min into the battle. 150 : 663. how is it going to end? we can still win this, right!!?? the other team is getting bored, and the taunting is beginning. not happened to you yet? like 1/3rd of all your battles? you must be playing a different game.

and finally: Kill Stealers. no, it doesn't help the team if you are not doing lots of damage, in order to snipe. knock that crap off.

I can see that this is not acceptable to you. But I understand the frustration, I had a 100k shiri game as the only player with kills or caps which we obviously lost. Ranked sucks, you need to just ride it out if you want to earn ranks.

after reading your guide, i realized i failed miserably on nearly every category. particularly content, even though i did ask myself if i should post it several times before doing so. (ed. note: using good judgement is not a strong point for me)

 

strongly considering going thru the OP and changing a few things so I can fail miserably at EVERYTHING!!  I hate to do a job part way. :o)
