Here's the mess I found today after the split: The first column show my Pre-split captain points. The second column shows my Post-Split captain points. The third column shows what I want to have. To fix this mess will cost a small fortune in doubloons to switch captains around and instant retrain them. The captains should have remained with their Pre-split ships and kept their points!. Then you have to pay doubloons to covert the XP off the premium should you ever want to use it, all to do what? Not put a captain in retraining in a ship? Really? And I know it doesn't help, but they said they were doing this in the patch notes. And in your reserve there should be an 8 pt Kiev captain and a 9 pt Tashkent captain. Then you have to pay doubloons to covert the XP off the premium should you ever want to use it, all to do what? Not put a captain in retraining in a ship? Really? Sorry, I fell for that early on but never again The point is the retraining, not the XP that gets banked on the ship. The captain's skills are 100% effective while retraining in a premium, they are reduced in effectiveness if you retrain in your next tech tree ship. Basically you trade time grinding the tree in exchange for retraining the captain for your next ship for free while his skills are still fully effective for the premium ship, and earning more money and XP on him at a faster clip as you do it. You don't *have* to retrain in a premium or pay doubloons, those are just 2 extra levels of convenience above retraining normally in a tech tree ship. Ship Replacement Rules General Rules After a ship you purchased or researched is replaced, she'll remain available to you in the Port in her stock configuration (if she was purchased) or in her researched state (if she was researched) The replacement ship will be added to your account together with a Port slot (if the replaced ship has been purchased) or will become researched if the replaced ship has been researched Module replacement will happen by adding similar modules for the new ship to your account, or by reimbursement of their cost in XP (added to the new ship) and Credits For the replaced ship, her Commander's specialization will be changed to the ship of the corresponding tier in the main branch A new Commander for the second ship will be added to your account together with bonus Commander XP If permanent camo was mounted on a ship to be replaced, it'll remain mounted on this ship and a new permanent camo for the added ship will be added to your account Ship Replacement Rule Gnevny If you researched Gnevny (tier V) before the update has been released, then Podvoisky (tier V) in the same configuration and Gnevny (tier VI) in her stock configuration will become researched post-update. Presplit means the Kiev keeps the tier 7 kiev capt.. the NEW KIEV is tier 9>? so no way the same capt remains with the same ship... HE goes to the tier SEVEN MINSK.... same Tier same Capt... NEW tier new FREE capt.... if I read this right... and I like to think I did.... I got a Udaloi capt with 9 points cause my old capt is in my Kharb... my Minsk has a 18 point Kiev capt... Kiev has a NEW 9 point capt... Gnev has a new 9 point and Tash a new 9 point... Oh and this chart is a bit confusing the way you explained it does not make sense post split.... how do you have MORE points post split from a 9 point presplit capt?>?? and your minsk 11 point capt is the NEW kiev capt... skilled EXACTLY the same way, for free... TIA! The patch notes said that all captains stay at the same tier while the new ships get new captains. They do not go onto the ship of the same name. Everything is working as they said it would. Your T5 (Old Gnevny) captain stayed at T5 (Podvoisky). T6 (Old Ognevoi) stayed at T6 (New Gnevny). T7 (Old Kiev) stayed at T7 (Minsk). T8 (Old Tashkent) stayed at T8 (New Kiev). You're fixating on the name. Your 11pt captain stayed with T7 ship. Your 4pt captain stayed with the T8 ship.
