I used 60kish of my free exp on the Udaloi. I spent doublooms skipping over the annoying cpt retraining.

 

Now where is all that? It's on the Taskent, a ship I've already played, finished grinding, don't care for.

 

Please do me a favor, remove the Taskent from my account, take away all the free credits you gave me, and put that stuff back on the ship I paid for. I don't want the Taskent, I don't want the 8 million credits or w/e it was. I want to play the ship I paid for without being forced to pay another $15 to skip through the same crap.

I did. It's the same ship with slightly better range, increased he damage(1600-1900) and access to the reload module.

 

 

It's a perfectly usable ship... that I already finished grinding, and don't want to play anymore.

What does a premium ship have to do with the DD split? You had plenty of notice and you didn't lose any progress on the tree.

I finished the Taskent. I don't enjoy the playstyle. If I want my captain back in the ship I want him in I would have to suffer through a somewhat possibly painful grind, or pay more money on something I've already spent money on.

You could have waited to spend the gold on captain retraining until AFTER the patch dropped.  And then you'd have been fine.  (Not to mention not mounting anything on the Udaloi until after the patch dropped.)

My old Kiev captain got moved and I had to retrain him for the T8 Kiev. I mounted Halloween camo, confed/kraken flags, and played a few matches. He's retrained.

 

If you're so offended things worked out poorly (partly your fault for not reading patch notes), just make a support ticket.

Ship Replacement Rules

General Rules

• After a ship you purchased or researched is replaced, she'll remain available to you in the Port in her stock configuration (if she was purchased) or in her researched state (if she was researched)

• The replacement ship will be added to your account together with a Port slot (if the replaced ship has been purchased) or will become researched if the replaced ship has been researched
• Module replacement will happen by adding similar modules for the new ship to your account, or by reimbursement of their cost in XP (added to the new ship) and Credits
• For the replaced ship, her Commander's specialization will be changed to the ship of the corresponding tier in the main branch
• A new Commander for the second ship will be added to your account together with bonus Commander XP 
• If permanent camo was mounted on a ship to be replaced, it'll remain mounted on this ship and a new permanent camo for the added ship will be added to your account

That would be true, had I not done it BEFORE those patch notes came out. Although it was somewhat unclear to me what was going to happen to my ships, I did in fact skim them over when they did eventually come out. The only thing we knew when I bought modules and paid for the respec was that a new Russian dd was coming.
