12.7km range and 4.4s reload?

15.2km with AFT and 4.0s with BFT?

 

 

Alternatively...

7.39km max concealment

52.79s torpedo reload speed

9x 8km, 60knot, 15100dmg, 1.2km detection torps (7.69s reaction time)

I take it back, but only partially.

No good at fighting Khab, due to inferior 870m/s shells and inferior RoF and number of guns

 

Improved at being annoying to BBs at max range.

I haven't taken the RU DDs out for a spin with the update so far.  I did configure a bunch of them.  Tashkent's gun range is very enticing but then when compared to New Udaloi's shells, the 870m/s is a tad bit underwhelming.  Still should be a PITA to BBs.

Ognevoi seems to be a nice improvement. She used to have slow-turning, slow-loading guns but at stock they are 5.3 rpm and 16.1 sec. With B hull load is the same but they turn at 7.8 sec. That's fast for a Russian DD. She still has a 2x2 layout but the buff to HE makes them hit harder. Torps are another thing though. They used to be 4 or 4.5km @ 65-ish kts. Now they are 10km @ 56 kts. I am having success with them mainly because detection is only 1.1km. She did go from T6 to T8 so you would expect some buffs but in the two T10 games I've played her in (both unfortunate losses) I finished in the top 3. Not complaining one bit.

What's the 3million credit module of choice for the new Tashkent?  On the Udaloi I use the rate of fire one that slows the turrets down which was sort of a pain in the [edited]with the old stock turrets but with the faster one basically not noticeable.  Am I just gonna have to suck it up about sometimes out turning my turrets on the Tashkent or is there some hidden wisdom in one of the other choices?

Which is Gearing torps levels of stealthy.

Basically, they will be piss annoying to anyone who happenes to steer themselves into the torp path.

Well, since you can't use GFCSM for +16% range, you are stuck with faster reloads MBM3, faster torp reloads or +25% AA.

I took MBM3, because I don't intend to brawl up close with the guns if I can help it.

 

If you build Tashkent for stealth torping, you should pick up CE, instead of AFT, and faster torp reload mod.

 

+25% AA mod if you don't like either of those options

I think all the new VMF DDs are torp boats. 8-10km is enough, the torpedoes are incredibly stealthy (the only stat that matters), and if you stealth spec, you can surprise a lot of people. Plus you can still wiggle at 11-12km fire spamming BBs.

I am having lousy winrate with ognevoi, but decent stat overall.      with upgraded hull, you start to be more of a threat.     torps are definitely decent an it and it has nice flat shooting gun.  only thing missing is   pure gun firepower, but it is usable.    definitely different threat than kiev.   I just don't see trashcan being much of an upgrade from kiev.    (bit of firepower from extra slot)  I have run   turret speed mod and ROF mod     (which gives net gain of 8% firepower )   may be worth it on trashcan.    udaloi is stil a better dd.

or... Trashcan can perhaps get the same B-2-U turrets as Udaloi and Khab.

 

Udaloi and Ognevoi upgrades from B-2-LM to B-2-U, so there's ZERO reason to limit Trashcan or Kiev with T6 turrets.

Trashcan gets heal.... if the games I've played so far that simple fact puts it leaps and bounds above most DDs not only at the tier but also at tier 10.

 

Since you cant be citadeled you can rep virtually any damage you take, with the right captain you've got more gun power than is fair tbh... a 1-2-2-2 commander build really makes those guns sing (t1 W/e t2 Last stand+Adrenaline t3 SI+BFT t4 AFT+CE) I liked my Udaloi but this thing is leaps and bounds ahead mainly cause Heal on a DD is stupidly useful.

Tashkent was made in Italy. We can have it but not actual Italian destroyers which actually fought in the war.

I'm playing through it and it's not a good time. Everything about it is sluggish compared to other ships. It's reflected statistically as well, it's just not a very good ship. I just got AFT on it 3 or so games ago which made night and day difference, but stock Udaloi is much more nimble, with less sluggish guns. I refuse to pay my way through this ship!
