I will say I sat down and read through this and you make a fine, valid point on every bit of this.  I will admit that I have not always taken my posts seriously, I've ranted angrily during some of my moments.   I appreciate you took the time to write this for others to read.

Telling people to put in more effort doesn't exactly tell them how to put in more effort. I wanted to write a bit of a how-to in order to demonstrate some of the ways in which a person might be able to effectively expend more effort.

I feel like starting off a post with a complaint and not explaining it is the most appropriate way to start a post.

Everything written here is invaluable information, good even beyond the forums. Being able to properly express yourself is a great asset.

 

The most important thing to do is to always learn from your mistakes and errors, and improve on your writing, and if you really want to get better, reading is definitely the best way to do it.

 

As far as editing, I find things I misspell all the time when I type, or accidentally leave out words... The best thing I've found for it, funnily enough, is saving whatever I wrote (when it comes to stuff like longer posts, or outside of the forum, essays and things like that) to a Google drive, and then opening it on my phone.

 

For whatever reason, the change in format, from a computer screen to phone screen, makes it far easier to pick out mistakes.

 

 

All in all, a great thread.
