Myogi ain't that bad

Just picked the Myogi up to grind to the Hosho.

 

This ship ain't that bad. It is like a Kongo and a Gneisenau had a baby. And having a good amount of experience in those ships, this one feels like a piece of cake.

Shes an okay ship, she just is a T4 BB so she has flaws that are very apparent to many pleyers

No, I disagree, she is that bad. I have played her once or twice again a few months ago. It's like a super "Nah bruh, I'm good" kind of feel. Maybe you like it, but I cannot wrap my head around that ship.

I liked her as well.  The battlecruiser play style lends itself well to later ship's as well.  Also, having most of her guns aft and good speed allows kiting of inferior  battleships.

Only 2 out of 14,000 Myogi players on http://na.wows-numbers.com/ have an average damage over 60k, under 50 average 50k.

Every other T4 BB has many more players over 50k & much higher top scores, even Ishizuchi (104 over 50k, has 2 players over 70k).

 

The highest number of battles played in it is under 400, very few play it more than needed to get to Kongo.

Once I learned how to play it, I could pull 100k games fairly often. The important thing is too rely on your speed and range.

Yes once I learned that Battleships should use AP instead of HE Shells like players think are the best thanks to tier 1 my success in Myogi has skyrocketed. When you use AP you get the chance to do Citadel hits which are so devastating and turns Myogi into a far more formidable warship. And now I have Kongo researched and been using no it, but Myogi is still in use thanks to my needing Aircraft Carrier as well, but grind is really not that bad. The main key with Battleships is to strictly load AP ammo.

The average is low because of the learning curve ('twas long)but 120k should be my max. Did it in a tier 5 match while divisioned with an ark beta in December of 2015.

 

Given that WG says I never broke 100 I might rebuy the thing to prove it's capable.

I'll be back to playing IJN T4 BB once is replacement is offered but until then I ain't touching the Myogi with a 10 foot pole

Dude, I can just beat your comment/aurgument right here.  YOU have previous experience in another ship to make this work, a large majority of new players don't.  If you told me Myogi was you first ship and pulled those results, you might have something.  There are guys way smarter than me able to prove with stas and exp. the Myogi just sucks.

I am a new player and I don't mind a Myogi that much, actually have had some good battles in it. Now did not do so well in the tier 3 in that line lol.

It was my first tier 4 BB, had about 200-300 matches at the time. Myogi's difficulty is overated.

Just give it  cruiser-like accuracy/sigma/dispersion and don't touch anything else.

Test it.  My guess?  Going to be balanced because low volume of shells, and no torpedoes/secondary range/turtleback like the Gneisenau.

I had an alright time with Myogi but what helped me out was IJN BBs were the 2nd BB line I worked on, as I was at around Tier VII or VIII USN BBs also.  After having undergone the suffering of 21kt USN BBs, Myogi was a breath of fresh air and I liked rolling up to ships and blasting them.  The only thing I did not like with Myogi was if a DD got in danger close range, the turret placement of Myogi did some very stupid shot patterns.  I remember being horrified having a good lead on a short ranged DD trying to do a torp run, fire my guns, and watch all my shells criss-cross in front of the DD and completely missing.  All BBs are subject to RNG but Myogi's close range shot pattern was a death trap.

What I hated about her was the accuracy of her guns. Granted they are the largest of their tier, but when a perfectly aimed salvo misses more often than not, there's something horrible wrong with the ship, not the player. I don't even have a problem with a her gun arrangement. Although having 4 guns forward would be a massive boost over the four guns sitting in the rear.

 

But then, Myogi might perform better now that she's no longer facing Tier 6 BBs.
