Hi Everyone,

I'll keep it short. I have WoW downloaded on my PC and my laptop. I play mostly on my PC and use my laptop at work because of all the downtime sometimes. The issue: All the progress I've made on my PC does not reflect when I access my account from my laptop.

I played the game for about 3-4 weeks on PC before adding it my laptop. On my PC I've progressed to level 5-6 ships but on my laptop I pretty much had to start over and am now up to level 2-3 ships.

I contacted support and they said I had to update the cache settings on my laptop but they didn't elaborate any further than that. I'm fairly computer literate but am not sure how or what to do with my Cache in the laptop to get it to update to current game progress.

Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Burk

Not entirely sure what you're asking here. As far as I know as long as you're logged into the same account it won't matter what device you're on....

Yeah, I have the game on a desktop and a laptop. Same account on both, same ships/progress. Only thing that doesn't transfer is your chat channels...

Any kind of local settings don't transfer, such as minimap settings, graphics settings, what ammo type you last had loaded, etc. Any progress, however, is saved on the server.

You must be logging in with a different account on each computer.

If you use same account on both then you'd have same progress.

The game does not keep anything on your personal computer, except for local settings as SergeantHop said.  All progress, XP, etc. is all kept on WG's servers.  It is literally impossible for this to happen, so you have to have made two different accounts.

Not sure how my question was vague but problem solved.... when I downloaded the game on my laptop it downloaded as if playing on the EU server. The game on my PC is on the NA server. I had to uninstall/re-install the game in my laptop. Maybe there could be a question/explanation on the download page about this for future registrants?

Ah I was thinking the same yesterday but didn't find the thread.

Good work finding that :)
