So... I have a 38% WR on Amagi after over 50 battles at this point and I don't get it.  It has accurate guns just like Nagato but I can't hit the broad side of a barn.  Something has changed significantly between Amagi and Nagato considering the almost 20% WR difference between them in my statistics.  I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.  I know many others have had great success with her and she is heralded as one of the best tier 8 BBs, but I can't make her work.  Anyone have helpful tips/suggestions?

May be the meta play difference that is making your transition awkward. Nagato as a tier 7 with current MM rules is more often top tier, playing 5-7. Amagi is more likely for bottom tier, 8-10. The gap in play style is fairly significant, and your survival % in amagi compared to all your other BBs is significantly lower. Adapt your positioning and punish play, and you will see more damage numbers, better survival and more effectively contributing to your teams victory.

Perhaps bring up a couple amagi replays on YT that feature it in bottom tier.

Nothing has changed with Amagi's accuracy.  The big change however is you're moving from the safety of Tier VII into Tier VIII.  You'll face more opponents using up to Tier X ships that are pretty good at range.  Your opponents at Tier VIII+ aren't as stupid as those lowbie Tier V-VI ones your Tier VII BBs have been beating up on.  High tier ones maneuver, angle, make themselves a PITA to hit, on top of that, mitigate your damage.

You need to angle and learn to shoot well at longer range.    with all the t10 matches, if you can't hit at 15km,  you won't do well.  learn to use cover to limit exposure.   Most of the shooting will be around 13-17km and you need to have good situation awareness for success.
