NO ONE SUPPORTS YOU THEY DON"T GIVE A F ABOUT YOU... So. Sit at the back and snipe... one problem... YOU CAN"T HIT ANYTHING. I'm not sure how many games I have in bb's.. But I can tell you that NOT ONCE has a dd smoked me... NOT ONCE have I had AA support from a CA. They just let you hang out to dry... I AM SICK OF IT. You know what I do now when I have no support... I just disconnect... and I go to the next team.. HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO TANK FOR THE TEAM when they just turn around and sail the other way???? It's an absolute joke. All the cap points were red, and there was three minutes on the clock, and two minutes until they capped out. We snagged two of the cap points, but it wasn't enough. The most infuriating thing about that battle was the Kurfurst sitting all the way at our spawn, "Brawling". (I.E, he was sniping the whole time.) Full health, and his guns were firing the whole time. Bottom of the team list. So, yeah. I understand your pain. If he had just pushed with the rest of us BB's, maybe things would have turned out differently. It is best coordinated.. and its hard to type while playing a game. It seems like the best support is often having another ship share fire and targets. If you need smoke or AA cover, ask for it. As for playing with battleships, wait and watch where your team is going. If they form a lemming train, join it. It's very difficult to solo a flank, especially as a battleship. An important part of battleship play is knowing when to push and tank for your team, and when to stay back and shoot. When you're tanking, keep an eye on your team-mates. As soon as they start turning away, you should bug out too. When you're staying back and shooting, try to keep at the same distance from the enemy as your cruisers and battleships. If you're getting focus-fired, move back. The enemy will shift their attention to your team-mates, giving you time to repair and reposition. Read up on some battleship guides and then give them another go. I'm in my Bismarck, I am angled towards my target who is a tier 6 Mutsu... I think it's the new premium IJN BB. I have a full volley at his broadside from 11km,, I do 1100 damage. A good BB players, with good situational awareness, knows/recognizes when to push and when to kite. In the interim, you want to sit in the middle of the 2 extremes- mid ranged, centrally located on the map, able to flex where needed, still able to put accurate and effective fire where needed and in position to support the team in whatever way necessary. I had much the same issue, till I figured out early on, don't close in much past 13 KM. Sit at the mid ranges and trade shots, if it gets too bad, fade back to around 15-17, but stay within decent firing range. That way you have some protection, but you're not overexposed.
