Do you have any mods installed that cap frame rate?

Can you take and upload a screenshot of your video settings within the game?

Some ships (especially common on destroyers, but several cruisers can use this capability) can fire from stealth - meaning their gun range exceeds the range at which they get detected while firing. The effects of stealth firing can be compromised by aircraft (if there ever were any aircraft carriers around), or by positioning yourself in a location where you can help minimize the angles from which the enemy can shoot at you. Most stealthfire is just an annoyance, it takes an extended period of time to kill anyone by 1 ship stealth firing you alone. Use cover to disengage from a ship hitting you from stealth.

Ships have a concealment radius and a firing range. Sometimes the latter is larger than the former, even taking firing penalty into account.

Spotting mechanics, its complicated , heres one , say a DD has a detection range of 10k , except hes at 11 k and you still see them , why , the reason is one of your teamates is only at 9.9 k away from the DD and because all team mates are linked you can see the DD who will dissapear if your teamate goes beyond 10

I apologize for misreading your problem.

Here is the correct answer to what you are experiencing.:

I'd like to point out that my Farragut has a 15-ish km firing range, and only 12-ish km visibility when firing. And that doesn't take into account firing over an island, either.

If shells are coming at you from nowhere, go somewhere else.

Depends on what's shooting at you. If you're confident you can tank his fire for a few moments and outgun him, push in hard and fast and flush him out. People relying on stealth firing in soft, flimsy boats tend to panic when something fatter comes steaming up to them, making them easy prey.

As for OP's question, several people's answer visualized and reiterated:

Błyskawica is my favorite stealth-firing boat. Outfitted for stealth + range via commander skills I'm 10.4km visible and have 14.4 gun range, that's a 4km stealth fire window on open sea.

I dread to see what they'll do to her when they 'get rid' of stealth firing.
