Sometimes it works out that it will be one or two other ships and yourself against twice as many reds. No, not due to camping, it's just how the game plays out. So I thought it might be good to post a few good thoughts on how to play it when you are losing but you still wanna win.

  • If you are alone and anywhere close to other team mates, you should all work towards the best position.

Actually this fall in line with maybe something like thi?

  • Avoid the YOLO (You Only Live Once) which is AKA The YODLE (You Only Die Like Everytime)

The YODLE looks and sounds like this:

Depends on the situation -

DD - flee, use stealth, launch torpedoes at any target I see to dissuade further pursuit/cover larger retreating ships with smoke if possible

Cruiser -If stealth is an option, use it to retreat and regroup, if not, dodge and fire till sunk or help arrives.

BB - If option is available, retreat toward reinforcements and team. If it's clear no matter what I'm not going to survive the barrage I'm taking, take a page from Worf's book, the original BSG's Commander Cain or Porthos from "Man in the Iron Mask" - Charge them guns blazing with every intention of ramming my ship into one of theirs just before it gets sunk to deal as much damage as humanly possible so the team can finish them or delay them long enough they can capture the enemy base without taking ours.

I quite often see a different behavior... people split up. I'm not sure that's a good idea.
