It shares many characteristics with the Iowa, but it also has access to radar, which really opens up some gameplay possibilities. Additionally, since it's a premium ship it gives you a huge boost to your experience and credit income, so much so that good games in the ship can get you near 1,000,000 credits per match (when running other credit-generating things, like flags and camo). My Atago, for comparison, can only generate 600k-700k credits for a good game. So if you need to make a lot of cash, it's a great ship for that, provided you can play it well. The biggest change is the Missouri gets Radar. This is extremely useful, especially when you are divisioning and others can help you blast what your radar highlights. (It loses its float plane for this, but its more than worth it) 2. Their AA is slightly different. One of them gets more 20mm's but less 40mm's, the other gets more 40mm's, but less 20mm's. I forget which is which. I think Missouri has less 40mm's and more 20mm's but I could be mixing them up. 3. Missouri has more armor on its forward bulkhead. This doesn't really matter as Yamato rounds will still smash through it, just like on Iowa. Might help in a few isolated situations, but not enough to matter. Other than those things, Missouri is basically an Iowa. Just an Iowa that likes to masquerade as a Mint. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I recommend playing the tech-tree Iowa before deciding if you want to grind out the Missouri, as they play pretty much exactly the same. Lots of people struggle with the playstyle of the Iowa, and don't take well to the Missouri either. Just watch his video. Is it worth it? I just got it yesterday, so, I haven't played it yet. But Flamu says that it is perhaps his most favorite battleship of all time. Perhaps the least expensive way to acquire Missouri within a reasonable amount of time. I started my drive to Missouri with 200 free XP. I don't have a premium account. I have spent $36 on Papa Papa flags and am counting on that last batch I purchased to carry me through to 750 free XP. Not a bad price to pay for a T9 premium BB over a period of about 6 months. Granted, I played a lot of T7-8 premium ships and T9-10 permanent camo ships over this period since they generate good base XP numbers. However, not everyone enjoys playing an Iowa class BB. I've never played an Iowa, so I can't say how similar the sister ships are, but while Missouri certain is pretty easy to citadel if you're caught broadside, her guns and accuracy absolutely devastate cruisers and broadside battleships at her tier and bellow, with a reasonable chance to punish Yamato as well for showing a flat side. They had Iowas I replied, "Never have enough Radar Equipped Battleships" We stayed together, see any torps -- one of us popped radar -- lol -- cruisers and secondary's opened up.. Worth it? Cheapest premium in the game; one whole doubloon... (...and a tonne of, blood, sweat, and salty tears to get that 750k fxp, but hey; still the 'cheapest' premium in the game!) I also enjoyed playing the Iowa and it was not any sort of change in play style for the MO except now I have radar which has come in handy so many times towards the end of matches. My largest expenditures of free XP were on the Colorado back when it was truly a very, very bad ship, and on the Izumo.
