New player has simple question

Hello all, I am a new player and when I play I don't see my teams name/ship tags over their ships when I look at them like I do on most videos, is there something I am missing in settings? or is this a mod people use?...if you all use mods could you point me in the right direction as to what most people use?  thanks

You can hold Alt to bring it up or turn on the Alternative Battle Interface in the options under the controls section, I believe.

You can press your ALT key to temporarily bring that view up or you can go into settings -> controls and check the box that says "Enable Alternate Battle Interface".
