If you were shooting at superstructure, there is a point where no HP point is left at where you shoot. If you were shooting at an angled NC, then probably most shells bounced.

I remember one game recently in Edinburgh, fired around 4 salvoes at retreating BB's, looked at my dmg-1100. You have to look around for more viable targets like broadside BB's, cruisers and out of position DD's. It's sometimes better to hold your salvo for a target you can heavily dmg, versus firing at every nearby target just because your guns are loaded.

I was the captain of an angled NC. I remember hearing a lot of banging, but was too focused on a couple of BBs and other cruisers to take much notice of the Fiji. It wasn't until post game when I looked at the stats posted above that I thought "Damn" that's a lot of AP hits for not much result. Of course, the enemy Tirp and NC didn't shoot at me much, either. Oh darn.. I thought u were in the Fiji. Well then. Pointing your bow to any RNCL pretty much nullify all dmg in general. That Fiji should have focused on other targets in stead. Make steel rain on the deck, and you will get 19K damage in about 5 salvos.
