Best Non-Premium for Grinding Credits?

Hello everyone! Just one small quick question. I am getting to the point where I have the Farragut, Hull B/Guns researched on my New Orleans, and my Leander waiting to be purchased. Only downside, I only have 2.6 million credits. I have been grinding my Nicholas and making 80-160k credits a game, but are there any other good non-premium ships for grinding credits?

Thanks!

Id say any fully loaded VMF DD with a confidant captian will do. Kiev is your best bet for making creds

Clemson, Kirov, Konigsberg, and Furutaka can all be good money makers if you know how to play them. And they are not too hard to get to, if you are so inclined.

Tier 5 to 7.

Any ship you are good at.

5-7 is a good spot. 4 can be good with certain high damage ships.

Personally I like 5-6, as repairs are dirt cheap the play is faster and there's a lot more potential for hard carries.

As for specific ships I like Nurn and Aoba.  Tier 6 cruisers can easily lay on damage at range and deal with almost any target.  If you're grinding credits consistency is key.

T6 ship that you do well with and don't require lot of premium consumables.        I actually did pretty well with t6DD when I started. if you can get a premium ship, that helps a lot.

I would say save up all the creds you can now, and spend none of it until you can afford the Leander.  Some people say they can't make RN cruisers work, but for me once I got the Leander, it was a money machine, and then after that, the Fiji was all the better.  So that's my advice, get the Leander, and then if you're good with it, save for the Fiji and soon you will be rolling in credits.

Depends on your play style and preferences. Tiers 5-6 were great money maker tiers for me non premium and still kind of are.

It comes down to ships that you understand and do well in though: for me the stand outs in tier 6 are: Leander, New Mexico, Bayern, Ernst Gaede. The key is being flexible while maintaining high damage battles as well as high potential damage

I do amazingly well in the St-Louis.  Even in PvE of all things.

Games are quick, and i's easy to farm damage as long as there aren't 5+ DDs on each teams.

A premium account helps tons tho.

You're looking for a ship that has the lowest operational costs but the highest returns.  So here's some things to consider:

  1. How well you do with the ship.  You're looking for a high base experience.
  2. What the maintenance costs are of the ship.  You don't want to be playing a ship that eats big chunks out of your earnings simply for being repaired each and every match.  To this end, I would stick to tier 7 ships or lower if you have a premium account, tier 6 or lower without.
  3. If you can play her well without premium consumables / signals / camouflage.  You want a ship that doesn't require you to play with premium consumables (which eat 22,500 credits each per game), camouflage (minimum of 2,000 credits per game) or signals.  The idea is you want to be making gains across the board while playing.
  4. Tier 5 and 6 ships are likely to be uptiered and face tier 7 opponents most of the time.  Keep this in mind.

Some suggestions:

  • If you're a destroyer player, Isokaze is a great boat for farming some easy credits.  You can play her without camo, without premium consumables and still make bank.  Her limited matchmaker (she sees a maximum of tier 5) will make it easy on you.  If you prefer gunships to torpedo boats, Clemson is a good choice too.  However, I find she's a little hungry for those premium consumables as she gets spotted a lot more than Isokaze does.
  • If you like low tier cruisers, Bogatyr or St.Louis are excellent choices for grinding credits.  They are some of the most powerful ships at their tier.  Being tier 3, though, their earning potential is somewhat limited.
  • From tier 5, some of the best ships for grinding are Kirov and Furutaka for cruisers and Kongo for Battleships.
  • At tier 6, my top picks for grinding boats would be Farragut for Destroyers, Budyonny or Aoba for cruisers and Fuso for Battleships.  They all earn bank and aren't too expensive to run.

LWM ---- Does this still hold true?

I have a family member use and abuse my account (remember not to save password) while I worked on Sunday so I need to rebuild my credits.

i find my cleve is a great money maker for me. played it enough times for it to have its own 14 point captain.  ifhe and ce make it a lot easier to deal with the constant tier 8 matches.(tho i lived and did fine without those)

The best non premium is the one you are most comfortable and proficient in.   Everyone is different, some do good in X ship, some do better in Y,  only you can determine that,

I would recomment you finish the 2nd Campaign and get the Shinanone.  It is a premium that you get for free for soing the various campaign missions. It is one of the best earners in the game. (at least for me) I have a premium account and average 300k profit each game with it. (It is a free premium, so I don't know if it counts)

Tiers 5 and 6 are the best balanced tiers for purposes of credits earned vs credits spent. That being said, those tiers are also notorious for being constantly uptiered. So tier 7 may be a better option for consistent credit making damage ... if you're a decent shot.

Also note: Tier X with premium camo (not a premium ship, but does require investing 5000 doubloons) is also a great money maker as that camo drastically cuts it's maintenance costs.
