I believe it's appeared on both the European and Asian servers at this point... so we know it's tested, good to go, etc. I understand the concept of making certain ships rare, but, on the other hand, the logic behind choosing something obscure like Katori to bring the hammer down on seems... weird. I don't know that there's high demand or interest in this little ship (or, for that matter, disinterest; I think the operative word is likely closer to 'indifference') - in fact, there are probably a lot of people playing who don't even know it used to be the Japanese starter boat. But when it appeared as the "special prize" in the $400 buy-every-premium (but lol - notreally) package at Thanksgiving, I started to get very, very worried that it was going to become a "thing" for the N. American servers to keep Katori out of our grasp, and that seems to be playing out. I just do not understand choosing Katori over some kind of ultra exclusive American or Canadian boat. I mean, it's the western hemisphere - you'd think if you wanted some kind of tease to bait people into buying ultra-premium content, it would be something that more folks are familiar with. Yes, but I'm not sure that really counts for us mere mortals who couldn't afford to drop $400 on a whim on this game. Now, granted, I have spent more than that over time... I like to collect. And, it's cute. If we could still get Yubari, I'd buy that, too. Plus, one of the nice things about middling boats at low tiers is that decent-to-good players can go down there, captain them, not overwhelm the enemy team, but still make a difference by doing well. She's tier 4 and has really, really potent AA at that tier... decent torps, good guns. Yeah, she's made out of tissue paper and unicorn farts, but so is Tenryu, and a lot of people make her work. Coupled with decent torps, decent AA and a catapult fighter, and she's a pretty stout little boat. Trust me, I hesitate to play any of them. Katori sounds fun though. I made a video during the Beta sometime of gameplay when it was allowed. It was tier 1 then. Very fun. Would have considered grabbing her in the stupid huge bundle if WG had copied HotS' "dynamic bundle" system. Just glad that of the two of them Smith was the one that was easily attainable. I have no interest in Katori now and the only way that boat will be in my port is if she is in game earnable.
