Best thing about Trash talk?

2 BBs asking me to charge a battleship in my Isokaze when they are sniping from a distance; when one chooses to come in to fight the BB himself he dies; I still beat both the trash talkers at the end of the match.

Now that's Karma.

Edit: and to explain better (as I made a poor job at it on the first attempt). I did not trash talk. I was just on the receiving end for the last 5 minutes of the match.

Er, I still don't know the best thing about trash talk though?

:amazed: OK, explain for those that didn't get it. When someone trash talks you for a quarter of the match about how bad you're playing, it is nice when they are proved to be wrong and you end up beating them on the scoreboard.

The way you told the story made me think that you trash talked back in retaliation and that you ended up talking a bigger game too.

I was going to say...weren't you afraid of a chat ban?

I agree though, it really does feel nice when you beat them in score at the end.  Too bad there isn't any way for you to rub it in except by reporting them for trash talking in the first place.  I mean, it's not like they will PM you after the game and offer an apology like a good sportsman.  So you shouldn't feel bad doing it.

Oh, like the Clemson who told me (in Furutaka) that I was the worst person on the team and a detriment to everyone

and then we won and I was the top scorer on the team (and still alive), while Mr Clemson was 3rd from the bottom (and sunk)

Heh, those two BB wanted you to charge the red BB so it would be distracted and stop hammering them. Where's the sacrifice? Didn't you care?

Nope, won't trash talk myself; really don't see the point. Won't use the Bad Karma in game either as I don't see the point in trying to get the last dig in either (what does it really do anyway).

Like giving out good Karma though!

Apologies to the first 2 replies as well, if you didn't understand what I put down, then I probably didn't explain it well enough in the first place. My bad! :honoring:

Because a destroyer's job is to die so battleships can be the hero, right?

I die well enough on my own lol. CE has become my Holy Grail (I just need to remember when I finally get it that I won't become invincible!)

Although I have to say there have been many BBs that have saved me in my DD with really good support. Yes, I've had some that have gone mad chasing a ship and they don't seem to realise that when they come out from behind a mountain range, they will be the only target for 3 enemy ships on the other side; or some that stay back.

But on the whole most BBs I have played with do try to support the other ships. :)

I had one today. An individual was complaining about how bad the dispersion of the Konig was. I told them that I didn't have any problems with mine. They continued to state how bad this ship is and whatnot, while I still responded saying that it wasn't. They went all to try and compare it to a tier 8 American BBs and what not, you know the usual excuses someone tries to make up to prove their point. Anyways it some how boiled down to where the player wanted to 1 vs 1 me in the current match. Of which confused me as they said that the Konig was bad, and I called them out on it.

Well you know how those "Oh yea? 1 vs 1 me." type people are. They want to "1 v 1" you, you don't want to, they die by someone else, and they go on to trash talk you for not "1 v 1" them, and yadda yadda. Well that happen for a short while. They trashed talk me for not "1 vs 1ing" them and used the excuse that their team was going to win, and I was bad at the game because I was going to lose the match. Which was all true, until my team of 5 remaining ships sunk their team of 6 remaining ships that were capping my teams base. Of which we sunk them in a span of just 2 minutes. Of which my team won.

So in short. An individual complained about how bad the Konig was, I said it wasn't. They started to trash talk me, I trashed talk back. They died, I survived the match. They said that their team was going to win, but they lost. And in the end they sent those kind of messages that went into pure rage. You know, the ones where they say as much insults as they can before putting you on the block list. The kind that you can easily tell that they are mad and you quickly say "you mad bro?" before they add you on the block list to piss them off even more.

Right. All DDs must die first. You know like in the stereotypical horror movie. You know where the fat guy always dies first. Or was it the black guy? ... The nerdy one?... Ah hell you know what I mean. All DDs must die.

Be careful of the words you use keep them soft and sweet.

You never know from game to game which words you'll have to eat.

Yolo players love to rage about "no support." Just reply, "don't worry ill win this game in your memory" or "you shall be avenged" just have fun with it. Put that salt on your margerita and enjoy.

I get a lot of rage playing the ichizuki. "Why are you firing he in a battleship!?!"

Nice, but just because you don't have dispersion problems doesn't mean other people dont.

The solution to German bb problems, brawl. Vary speed and course for torpedo avoidance, but get right up in faces.

Only works if you have others with you, otherwise you will be singled out and destroyed very quickly.

while im not a dd main by any stretch, im sure thats not in their job description, last i checked their job is to be sneaky little buggers, capping, and torping the crap out of ships unfortunate enough to be unaware of the destroyer's presence

No, they wanted to trash talk because I didn't go one verses one against them. They died in the much while I survived, and their team lost while mine won. The whole trash talking started because they wanted to prove how good they were in a ship they said was terrible. I could of added more details into that post. However I don't think you wanted to read an additional three to five more paragraphs.

One thing that does make me shake my head  is those good players that gloat about how good they are (and they do have skills). Remember a 2x Clem Div we were playing against who were gloating that some ship hadn't given them the proper respect so had paid the price.

Looking at the map the friendly was the target of several ships because he'd ventured too far from support, not just the 2x Clems.

I know I'm wrong to do so, but I did have a chuckle when someone killed him and stated 'Here's 150mm of respect!'
