I knocked down 4 planes, turned, and from 22 kms, Lanhuahua in the Montana put 4 cits on me for a Devastating Strike. Lovely shooting that was. I got zero XP, but I got 4 planes. I thought plane kills gave XP? Edited February 27, 2017 by Taichunger

The point is to counter bots so they can't just sail around doing nothing, getting a few accidental plane kills and be rewarded for it.

I also thought planes counted for something. Didn't realize they are only lagniappe once you've already done something...

Why some of us are still ticked off about the economy changes because spotting and downing planes still don't reward much if anything, but the instant we launch our planes we get hit with the full repair bill, we don't even have to take a hit. And we HAVE to launch airplanes to deal damage. A DD or a lucky other class can go untouched and just have to pay for the ammo. And CV's cost quite a bit, why you STILL see more strike and mix load outs from USN - it's the only ones that might actually pay the damned bills.

You get hit by the full repair bill just by loading into the match. That was changed a long time ago now.

When I shoot a ship I get HP and when I sink a ship I get a ribbon. When I kill a plane I only get the ribbon.

It just goes into the equation that calculates the probability of shooting down those planes.

Otherwise you would have gotten something just for moving to A. And a little more for the planes. Off-hand, I'm guessing it's because you never even fired a shot at a target so you looked like a scripted bot to the server. It's a failure of the anti-bot system, but since it happened so quickly, best thing to do is probably to just suck it up and jump into another ship. Reporting it would be optional because this sort of scenario is hard to fix and really rare to begin with. Edited February 27, 2017 by Misniso

You get hit with the full repair bill no matter what. Whether you take 1 hit or full damage you get the same hit for loading into the match. Just like you get the full repair bill if you don't even launch a single plane. How do you not know this? It's pretty much considered a "rental fee" at this point instead of a repair bill. See it as renting your ship for the match. So you pay the same amount at the end of the match no matter what.
