  • The names themselves are actually color coded to denote player skill. From red -> yellow -> various shades of green.
  • Clicking on the player name takes you directly to their warships.today stat page.
  • The stats shown on this screen are the respective players' stats in that particular ship. For example, I would show up as a red potato if I played the Emerald with this application running.
  • Apparently your stats are supposed to be visible even if you tried to hide them. It didn't seem to work on this match though.
    • Build 0.0.0.7 Updates: Fixed an issue where players with hidden stats were not showing in some circumstances. All players should now be visible regardless of their stat preferences.

For better or for worse, "XVM" is back. Although this application is more comprehensive than any form of XVM stat tracker that I've ever seen.

I think this is wonderful. Just installed it and will use it every game. Stats are needed for proper clan activities, recruiting, and clan ranking. Eventually, WOWS themselves will have to add clan stats. Of course they will wait for as long as they can, but clans have to have stats. This is a good thing.

The application doesn't present any information that you can't obtain on your own, it just compiles the information and saves you the trouble of looking up the individual players yourself. I don't see anything wrong with that.

Lol so now people with hidden stats pretty much have no reason to hide them anymore.

XVM was a great recruiting tool and was also nice for being able to find out who on the enemy team was the main threat. WIth this program you can find out who are the people that you want to possibly recruit, division with, or target on the enemy team. Right now people just spam for division mates in game, spam for clan joins, and target anyone in range. This program is needed for people who recruit for clans, clan leaders, and anyone who pub divisions.

exactly. Stats dont make players toxic. People choose to be toxic.

No, it does not. It is incredibly rare to see it amount to anything other than a forum person getting in a flame war. It is a good way to keep track of your performance over time.

nah but the main difference is that MOST ppl dont actually take the time to log into warships today to look up an individual player just to stat shame and insult them...well NOW it doesnt matter give it a few weeks with the high quantity of wot players over here nowadays n watch the toxicity level skyrocket

Actually XVM, is a mod that adds functionality, its called eXtended Visualization Mod. It offers many possible customization options for modifying the in game hud in WOT. The stats part is just one part of what the mod offers. Anybody that says XVM = stats is just showing how much they really dont know.

I had a friend in otter, played with them a bit until I switched to this game. Everyone I played with was quiet in chat.

Having stats visible like that easily in a game however gives people who have a toxic streak in them the tools to "justify" their [edited]behaviour. It's kind of like "look at his stats, he's a potato, and therefore deserves all the toxic abuse i hurl his way because he's a bad and he should feel bad". Without that bit of information a lot of people won't verbally abuse people as much over their stats as they don't know what they are unless they manually look it up during the game.

Stats in this game can really sap the enjoyment out of the game. I try not to conscious of my stats, but when i have a really bad game in my Shiny Horse, part of my brain goes "[edited], that's going to knock me down a few numbers in the top 50 damage dealers in this ship" and it personally adds stress to the game that i kinda wish wasn't there.
