As for a community of competitive gaming I feel relatively safe in saying this has overall been one of the least toxic of any team-based community I've ever played, I mean, yeah there's a few salty dogs here and there but i find them on my team more often than the opponents, and I'd have to say most of you all have a great sense of humor. If you want to chat with players on the other team, do it OUTSIDE of battle in Gen chat or private messages. In the middle of a battle, you have no place talking to players on the other team. Interacting with other players is a core element of any online game, and I don't see why we shouldn't be able to talk to people on the opposing team. I've had good critiques come my way after a close duel where either I or my opponent sank, and we congratulated each other on a well-fought match. It's also beneficial for me to reply with a "GG" after a really good and close game. And the best part is being insulted in another foreign language after pulling off a surprise ram or a surprise attack that nuked them, assuming I'm completely ignorant, and then getting the individual reported with screenshot proof. Only when teammates demand I do something that requires support and teamwork, and then refuses to support me in carrying it out, then acts like it's my fault I don't have the capabilities of 5 ships in one. Wow, the world will really come to an end if you can't say "GG" after a game. Sorry, but the downsides of taunting, insulting, smack talking, and people giving away team mates' positions FAR!!! outweigh the supposed benefits from cross team chat.
