I put down "never open" but honestly I just wait until I get a supercontainer, then open all the ones I have stored up.

I like my doses of disappointment in small manageable amounts so I open the boxes as they come in.

If I was to save up a bunch of containers and than open them all at once, the over whelming sadness would be to much for this Bear to bare.

That aside, I open as I go along and generally go for the signals box. I could really use more speed flags.

Signals and camouflage is the best IMO. You'll always use signals on ships, and having extra never hurts. Same with camouflages.

 

I've gotten a supercontainer from that selection as well, and even when I don't: more flags is never bad.

I normally do try your luck because I would really like to see a premium ship and I feel like that gives me the best odds, even if those odds are still 1 in 1,000.

 

However, I currently found myself in an odd situation where I have 3 t10 ships researched, but don't have the silver to buy my most recently unlocked one.  As such, I've temporarily swapped to the more credits box.

I do signals and camouflage anymore. With the try your luck containers I've only twice gotten a supercontainer and those were so long ago that I don't remember what I got. I figure that if I'm only going to get signal flags I might as well get more that 4 of one type.

I make very extensive use of signal flags, so the more coming my way the better.

I'm not sure if it's even possible to get special camos from TYL anymore. The few camo batches I've gotten from them have been standard camos, plus they've been nerfed from 5 to 4 per batch. I'm turning back to Flags&Camo for more flags.

 

My entire reason for going TYL was for the chance of a special camo batch as standard camo never really used to be in TYLs. Even just diluting the camo pool with standards turned me away.

Before the change it was flags and camo, but now it's consumables.

You still get camo in TYL, but it's 2x camo now. I have a screenshot of 2x Ocean Soul camo I got after the container system f*ck*p.

I go for signals and camo since I don't need credits and I can buy consumables with credits.  I used to go TYL exclusively until it became clear they profoundly reduced the chance of getting anything worthwhile to near zero.  If I had reason to think TYL had any material chance of getting a supercontainer above the others I would stick with them.  Since containers have been nerfed even further I view the whole process to be almost not worth the effort.

Went for try your luck for the first 150,  now I am doing credits because I am strapped for cash.  Feel a bit silly now too since you get so much more for credits and because the chance for try your luck to be a super isn't really high enough to warrant giving away all the rewards the normal chests give you.  Then again if you already have enough of everything...

I've been selecting consumables for awhile now after being a devout TYL gambler. Since I was reformed I've seen many more Supercontainers including:

20 million silver

Arizona

50 (boo) Dragon Flags

250 Detonation flags

 

And 1 or 2 more that I cannot remember the contents specifically. The extra slight chance isn't worth the lacklustre rewards, especially so now they have reduced the contents. Your mileage may vary!

The Irony of TYL Containers was not lost on me the other day I finally gave up hoarding my nearly 900k FreeXP and bought the Missouri, only to find 2 matches later I get a SuperContainer with 50k FreeXP in it D:
