I realized something!

So, I looked over at my post counter, and realized that the next one was gonna be my 600th. Which is this one. (Yays!) 

 

Then, I realized that I forgot to formally introduce myself to the forums. Better late then never, no?

 

With that out of the way, 

Hello everyone! I'm RivertheRoyal. Somewhat obviously. Just call me River.

I'm currently a college student and freelance writer with some stories posted online. It's mostly fantasy and LitRPG stuff, though I'm in the middle of writing a Sci-fi novel. I play WoWs when I'm supposed to be in the dungeon, writing my next chapter. To whomever it might be of interest, I am a girl. A very tall one, but a girl none-the-less.

Quite predictably, I'm an english major—if only because it gives me an excuse to read even more.

I've also always been fascinated by big machines, especially ships. I remember watching the history channel years ago, and begging my parents to buy Silent Hunter 3 because it was the closest thing to ship v. ship warfare I could find.

 

Anyway, I've been enjoying my time playing WoWs, and adding my own posts of debatable merit to the forums. I hope to stay here till everybody's absolutely sick of me!

Nice to meet another freelance writer. I pay the bills with technical writing, grant/proposal writing, and copyediting, but fiction's my true love and I've sold a few stories here and there.
