I hope that title caught your attention. Now sit around the campfire, because holy tomfoolery have I got a story for you.

So, it was a normal match of Trident in a random. Me and two other cruisers spawn near base A from the south and start to trundle up to it. I say my typical "Good luck and have fun! Happy hunting on the high seas" in global, tell my team I can't brawl because of Kongo's frailty, and that's when I see the smokescreen on A.

I immediately tell my cruisers that there's a destroyer on A and to proceed with caution, but that's when three cruisers and a battleship appear. We all start to lay into them but soon enough there were no less than seven freaking ships on A. I inform the team that A is FUBAR (that's jargon for [edited] up beyond all recognition) and turn to fall back. I light an enemy cruiser on fire as I turn about, and even though a cruiser that was with me died the one that was on fire was killed due to the Burning Love.

The two extra HE shells I pumped into his midsection certainly helped as well.

I start to turn towards base C, since most of my team is near that area of the map. I fire shots at every enemy I come across, and that's when I get shot up my [edited]. Sure enough, an enemy Kongo is pursuing me. My heart starts pounding as a König and Nürnberg end up in my sights at 12-11 km distance respectively, and I start sinking my teeth into them even though they aren't shooting back. All the while the enemy Kongo is biting my ankles; I had about half of my HP and was nearing an island south of Base B when I noticed the König had his guns on me.

A three quarters full HP battleship and an untouched battlecruiser against a half health train wreck. This wasn't looking good.

What did I do? I dodged. I turned this way and that, fired at the König as I bowed then danced around the enemy's shells. Of course they tried to make my graceful ballet fail by smacking me, but they simply couldn't get me to stop. The carrier on my team harassed the other Kongo with his own torpedo bombers, but the blood hound simply dodged. Eventually the König had to engage some of my team mates...

... And that's when I saw the red torpedo bombers. Two squadrons, coming right at me with 3 km between them. The CV was trying to keep them staggered to stop me from dodging. In spite of my best efforts I was hit with two or three torps... None of which penetrated and caused flooding. I was burning through my repair parties at this point, struggling to keep my hamstrung beast afloat as the enemy Kongo simply kept attacking. I checked the amount of players left on both teams- we were in the lead by a decent margin, and even though they had two bases to our one we had enough players that it was gonna be a kill 'em all win.

I was keeping the enemy Kongo so focused on me that he had done nothing but hound me. The reds were basically without one ship the whole fight.

As I passed around the island I both got a 20.0 KM citadel hit on an enemy cruiser who was soon taken down by a friendly BB and noticed one of the cruisers from earlier- a Cleveland named Blackstool. Enemy torp planes were coming in again but our combined AA fire shredded their squadrons and I dodged each one this time. I thanked him, warned him about the Kongo (who was still shooting at me), and Blackstool took advantage of the bloodlust the enemy had by pumping him full of HE. At this point it was 6 or 5 to three, and with the sinking of the enemy carrier it was 5v2. The enemy Kongo started to get hit from all directions- Blackstool's HE fire, our carrier's dive bombers, a New York, and me. I landed some nice shots, but ultimately the kill wasn't obtained by me.

As the last two enemy ships burned, Blackstool's Cleveland and my Kongo were side by side. My ship was dented, beaten, burned, graced with perforations and blackened all over just like Blackstool's, but we had pulled through and survived with less than 30% of our HP.

That, my friends, is how I got the Dreadnought medal.

tanking  dmg is part of playing BB, so good job.    for myself,   out of 1175  BB matches,  I have gotten 95 dreadnaught .  so  about 9%.   (higher than that in recent matches )    I recommend running premium heal and repair    if you want to farm  it.  :D      I've also gotten a few in CA, but much harder.

Nice job!  If you keep moving up the line, Nagato is good at getting both Dreadnought and Fireproof in the same match if you use your heals correctly.

Thanks for the compliment.

Dreadnaught's simply extra % of HP recovered, any ship with repair can get it. My Fiji has dozens of it.

Gotcha.

dreadnaught achievement is tanking 120% if I recall correctly  of your normal HP  in damage from 4 or more enemy.          thus you need to have heal to make it work.
