I swear RNGesus is not only a fully-sentient entity within the game's programming, but also a sadist.

Minutes after posting in one of the Iowa threads on here, WoWS causes my machine to Blue Screen of Death out of nowhere as I'm playing the ship.  First time this machine has ever done so across all 3000-odd of my battles, and even for longer sessions than the one I was running at the time.  Even when playing more demanding games than WoWS, this has never happened.

Okay, fine.  I'm not upset over it or anything, especially since I still got a win I did nothing to deserve, and I managed to get my machine back up in time to at least move my ship even if I didn't do anything due to it being a roflstomp.

...Crap, he heard me.  Another BSoD, and this time I wasn't so fortunate with the timing.  Loaded back in to see the chat filled with angry remarks about how I sailed straight into a massive torpedo wall laid by their Yugumo and Shimakaze - since your ship doesn't instantly stop after getting dropped, I can only assume this happened very soon after I got rudely interrupted.

Eh, whatever.  Not the ship's fault, and it at least dispensed with my pink from yesterday.  I've still got time and I can play more, so why not?

I should have known better.  Next battle, I'm in perfect position to catch the enemy BBs in a crossfire, playing Iowa to her finest.  Only one of their Scharnhorsts was even shooting at me, and he was nearly dead: after that, I had two Missouris and an Izumo, all with their turrets on the wrong side and broadside, to myself.  Even though a cyclone was setting in, their CV just scratched me with a single torpedo.  Spotted torpedoes from the Scharnhorst with a catapult fighter and start shifting the rudder to evade.

Then the game crashes.  I came back to this.

Okay, okay, I yield, I'll post a thread about how bad the Iowa is...:hiding:

RNG is always watching....

Well, I'd suggest you do the semi-annual goat sacrifice a little early this year. Maybe that'll help?

(No, but seriously now. I hope you have better luck in the future. Iowa's not bad—though I'm basing that on the limited experience I have with the Missouri—which I just got today. Yays!)

Why do you think I always run detonation flags on my Montana? NC, Iowa, and Montana are extremely weak bow on to torpedoes.

First off, perfect Kantai Collection reference. Second, I haven't seen RNG that bad in a long time.

:hiding:,I remember the occasional battle when RNG decides that my PC or connection needs to have an issue. Its especially painful when you happen to be doing well, since you have to wait to fix the issue, and reconnect.

It didn't detonate me through the bow, although I should note that even without Juliet Charlie I've never had a problem with bow torpedo hits inducing detonations in any of my American BBs.  According to the people who saw it happen, the first torpedo hit under the airplane catapult, the second just aft of the #3 turret.

Talk about a torpedo in the stern...:hiding:
