I lovingly spent all of my credits to upgrade you to your maximum potential. You and I were going to rule the high seas at T5. Alas, twas not to be, my good friend. No matter what I did to improve you nothing could make up for your depressingly short gun range. This fatal flaw was exacerbated by being uptiered in almost every game--mostly to T7. Its fackin' gold since they did that buff. Like I said, I put everything on her but kept getting killed by ships with longer ranges. WG really messed up with the Furry. It's a permanent fixture in ships I play when I just cannot get a win or just tired of high tier and want to beat up on lower tiers. Then I play the Aoba, which was originally a ship I skipped on my furious grind to Zao. So I bought the Futataka and Aoba and honestly find little fault in either. I rarely use the torps(it's too obvious and invites citadels), I constantly weave in and out and watch the minimap. I don't give any BB the chance to devastate me unless I can help it and never even noticed any deficiencies in her range. I tend to be further forward than most cruisers with an eye for cover(islands). I guess what I am getting to in my rambling way, is that it's a keeper and I just don't get why anyone would dislike it after playing it. If you think it's too squishy, try playing russian cruisers. CE Captain on Taco with 10.6km detection range means you can creep up so easily on those tier 5/6 ships when it gets those tiers, and even at tier 7's it can be a beast if you don't fire right away. The Aoba's downside is that it runs into far far more 16+ inch guns that overmatch your bow so if you try to bow on to avoid incoming fire while trying to make a break for hard cover, most likely will get front citadel'd which the Taco can usually avoid. Three outta five ain't bad, and you've got better torps then the two cruiser lines that are ahead of you in range. Tis a fair trade off. In other news, being bottom tier always sucks.
