Okay, So I Have to Give the Sound Team 'Some' Props for the New Dynamic Music

Let me start off by saying that I'm NOT much of a fan of the new dynamic soundtracks that came with 0.6.0. I often find the tracks are too quiet and non-reflective of the situation beyond the opening moments of the game. And then, when the music does pick up, it feels jarring and sudden, and just doesn't have the same flow the old system did when swapping tracks and playing the whole piece rather than bits of it depending on your current status. However, with that said, I do have to give the sound team some props. It seems to be rare to me, but sometimes the BGM meshes perfectly with what you're doing and it really immerses you in the moment.

Just now, I played a game in my Kamikaze. It was domination on Strait. The match only lasted 11 minutes, but somehow I managed to stay concealed for all but the last few seconds(I revealed myself to the last enemy BB to force him to turn broadside to my torp spread. Love it when they fall for that one:trollface:). The whole time, the below track was playing in the background, and man did it just fit perfectly with how I had to maneuver. See, the game started out slow for me. I ran into two gunboats in the A cap, and had to bail, and was basically running for all but the last 3 or 4 minutes of the game. On top of that, our team wasn't in the best of shape either. The enemy initially had all but B, and eventually A was 'overwhelmed' and our CV wandered into two enemy BBs on the north side. It all looked lost. But I dug in, and so did the other two Kamikazes on my team as well, and we somehow pulled a win.

Just imagine this track playing in the background while doing everything to remain concealed(and succeeding), while simultaneously dumping spreads of torpedoes at a seemingly ever advancing enemy front. The center part of the song, with the vocals, repeated a few times in game thanks to the new modular/dynamic setup, and, well, it was just beautiful to listen to.(did I mention how well this track fit into how I had to play the game I described???:teethhappy:)

So, I have yet to see a thread discussing the new dynamic music that came with 0.6.0, therefore I'm a bit curious, what is everyone else's opinion on the new dynamic music soundtracks?

Edit: Oh, and the title of this particular soundtrack is rather fitting, as we three Kamikazes practically carried the bulk of the weight and had 7 of the 12 kills between us. It really was a situation where No One Survives.

WG has done an amazing job with the new music setup. Had a game in my NewOrleans that I had to carry against three other people and a similar soundtrack kept it highly entertaining.

See though, that's where I personally find one problem with the new music system(there are a few other glaring issues that I kind of pointed out in the first paragraph of the OP). I was in a destroyer, and I was concealed the whole time. A track like the one I posted is fitting when a ship is doing everything in it's power to stay hidden. However, you were in a cruiser, and were likely lit most of the time, so a track like the one above just wouldn't fit in my eyes. It'd be too subtle and calm, even if suspenseful, for a situation where you are visible and can be shot back at by the enemy.

In fact, one of the tracks I miss hearing in full the most is rather recent. It brings me back to when I aimlessly sailed around in AC4 doing nothing but looting and plundering the Spanish and English. But I find it to be one of the most thrilling tracks to hear when I'm sailing in my cruisers.

I've been away from the game for a few weeks.  Played my first game in a Derzki last night and I DO NOT LIKE the new dynamic music system.  Before it might play a track that i didn't like.  But sometimes the stars would align and i would be in a "tense" battle and this music would come up

And it was pretty cool, like something out of an action movie.  IMO they should make the dynamic music AN OPTION that we can check and uncheck.  If that doesnt happen then i'll just check "listen to your old music" and fill it with old WOWS and EVE online tracks or something.

Dynamic music system has a big problem.

You are fighting intense game, with 6 boats shooting at you, the music turns EXCITING... then you smoke... and the music is very soft. There is still intense battle, but the music is very bad now.

Super bad job implementing the 'dynamic' music. Please let us turn it off and have music the way it was in 0.5.9
