Cmon.  When presenting a user survey, it should be a context-free open ended question.  If you simply say, "Would you like your ship to have a railgun, nuclear weapons, and sharks with fricken laser beams attached to their heads?", you're going to get a whole lot of yes, and that's about all.  Why bother with the poll?  Just give us the info.

I'm already working on my French tech tree.  I'm just waiting for the national sections to be implemented.

The content I personally would prefer as of know would be first and foremost the history of Ships and Classes with the addition of weapons systems. I find indiidual ships as well as broader classes fascinating and a slightly daunting subject to those new to naval history. I would also like to earn more about things that go beyond individual ships or classes such the use of radar in ships, firecontrol systems, propulsion, what makes a ship seaworthy, and command structure. I think a quick review on these subjects would be a fascinating read. I would also like to learn the tactics used in naval warfare, I know that there is more to i than simply firing as fast and accurately as you can., but I ant to know how naval forces trie to gain every actical advantage in a situation.

I personally don't care for battle overviews, there are only so many ways you can look at a battle and there is not much a one or two page article can cover that a book can't. Overviews would be nice and it never hurts to cover the basics, don't get me wrong, but I think it is important to stick to other subjects especially the other two options in the poll. Lesser known battles would be great and what would a naval expert be without telling the story of the sinking of the Bismark but try not focus too much on battles, thee are plety of books on that. :)

I just dove into Naval warfare the day before the forums went up and I find it fascinating. However, I have little before hand knowledge. I thin firstly you should introduce those of us new to naval terminology to commonly used terminology and the likes. I may know a little more than my fairshare, but most people probably casually came from WOT and need naval history 101. :)

All these topics are interesting, but only history of ships and classes is directly relevant to the playing of this game.  From what I've seen on the Devs' Q&A thread, WoWS is going to play very similar to WOT...just with bigger guns and longer ranges.  Just point the reticule at an enemy ship and fire.  How the different classes of ships will work together is something we'll see as the game's development progresses, but I doubt any advanced knowledge of naval tactics will help much.
