Fix the forums, guys

... Suddenly they have become ridiculous to read from a mobile phone on my 180 minutes of transit to and from work. Where did my "Mobile version"  go guys? 

honestly, I think of myself as pretty versatile, having a copy of the game on USB3 for when I am travelling(or if I get a quiet day at work), using the forums on tablet and mobile phone, depending on circumstances, but since yesterday my much loved/hated mobile version disappeared. Why hated? Well image/video posting didn't work on it. If BB code tags worked, that would not have been an issue, but consider how large these items are on a 19"+ monitor as is. The full version has ZERO scaling, and now the one feature that made the forums usable for thumbs is MIA. You can nerf my battleships, Carriers, destroyers- but for the love of god- give me my mobile version back so I can keep shitpoasting with the best of em on here

Is this a good place to remark that posting on my Windows Phone has always been an absolute pain in the derriere? Or that I'm not actually crazy for using one?

I hear you. Besides reading being a pain, (constantly having to contend with ever-changing zoom levels) I shudder to think what loading all the extra goodies is doing to my data plan, and it doesn't help when, as opposed to automatically loading the last-read page, it loads the first page, and then I have to click "last unread post".

 

So not only is it loading more kb per page, it's loading twice as many pages....

I don't have to worry as much about my data, I have 11GB per month,but I completely hate how page breaking image posting is

Yeah, it disappeared for me 2 days ago. But even when it was working, posting images or YouTube videos needed a toggle to desktop

Dang, when I toggled off of the mobile screen to make sure I was right, I got stuck with the big screen. Hope they fix it soon.

I can barely get the forums to work on my Pixel at times, no clue as to why as every single other site on the internet works wonderfully. Except this one.

You may think it's funny Reymu, but I was prescribed some daily stress relief to counter the natural salt buildup that happens from playing the Farragut. Shitpoasting with you lot helps me destress

What happened to laughing at your computer screen when something goes really well or really bad? I admit potatoes get my dander up , but finding it's easier to not blow up if I just laugh at everything. If nothing else, at least I force some happy-go-lucky from my brain rather than pent-up frustration.

 

Taking programming classes, and quite frankly I don't see the point building up stress in my playtime if programming homework makes me grumpy. Shitpoasting isn't my favorite way to destress.

Well, after my Farragut grind, I got so wound up, I'm taking the weekend off. Even in other ships, I was so ticked that I was becoming too aggressive and taking on 6-7 enemy ships solo because all I wanted to see was red team destruction like the Farragut was denying me. No ships in the game can realistically solo half the enemy team, so I tried STO, Except they were telling my my core i7 6700K with R9 290X and 16GB Ram is not good enough to play a b rate MMO. I tried some of my RTS titles, but I just wasn't feeling it. Honestly, I'm not even sure I would be in the mood for FFXV at the moment, that's how crappy about gaming I'm feeling at the moment

I had the same issue a few days ago, the only way to fix it is to close out, delete your cookies, and then reopen it.

If you go to settings and delete your browsing history and cookies on your iPhone it should reset to the mobile version. That's currently the only way I know to get back from the full version.

Dumb question:  do you play the game from said USB stick, or do you copy it locally to xyz machine you are wanting to play on (that isnt your normal rig)?   

 

Also, did you just copy the game folder from its install location to the USB or something elsem

 

Ive not tried this, buts a damn good idea either way.

i keep getting a offline version from something like 2 months ago. It's just whatever was on the page then, so annoying, and like you said deleting the browser history is the only way I have figured out to fix it. It's still the desktop version on my mobile it's just old. Weird, never happened with my Galaxy...
