Which tiers are the sweet spot now?

Is Tier 7 still the sweet spot that sees lots of 5s and 6s? Recently I've been seeing more T8 and T9 battles in my T7s.

Tier 9 has been nice of late, but server populations are high so it evens out.

I used to rarely see a T8 when I was in a T7. This is not the case anymore, as you have stated.

Not sure if it has to do with an MM adjustment, or a change in player population.

I still really like T7 though.

For me, I love t4.  But over all, I'd say my fav's are t4, 7, 8

It's as sweet as it gets. However many T9 battles you get in your T7, it's less than the T7/8 battles you'll get in your T5/6.

 

Only guaranteed sweet spot is T10. (and T2-4 + T9 to a lesser extent)'

I seem to be getting into t10 matches in my t8 ships more lately, but that could just be an anomaly or it could be confirmation bias, especially since I've been playing t8 a lot between grinding my Z-23 and grinding free commander xp with my 19 pt capt in Akizuki. Tier 7 seems to be pretty balanced; sometimes I'm bottom tier, sometimes I'm top tier. Tier 7 also has a lot of good ships and a lot of variety, as does 8.

 

If you're having a rough string of matches and you need to go go seal clubbing for a bit, tier 4 is a good choice; good selection of ships, you make at least ok credits if you have a monster game,and protected MM. I rebought Kaiser for that reason when they had the BB sale over weekend, and Clemson has always been my favorite ship to sealclub in.

Tiers 4, 7, and 9. Tier 4 allows for sealclubbing, and if you're up-tiered, the playing field is rather level. 7 allows for farming off the poor people that have the misfortunes of having to play tier 5s and the crappier 6s. Tier 9s can additionally farm the tier 7 craze.

Shame the Honorable Service mission requires T8+.

I'd have to agree with everyone else so far and for the reasons already stated but for me T4 and T7 are pretty sweet these days.

4,7,10      every t8 match is either 9 or 10 now for me.

T7-T8 are the best tiers for those with average skills. If you have decent enough skill, T9 is pretty fun too. As for T10... You either run into teams with no balls that coward out at the back, or get the potato T10 players that get destroyed in the first 10 minutes of the match :p

The ships are the holy grail but the game play makes t10 a waste of time.
