Hey all, I'm in pinch of sorts, and I would appreciate the assistance. Had to conduct a survey in my gov't course as part of a final grade, requiring a minimum of 90 people. If any who come across this mind lending your time for 1 minute, you'd be deciding whether I pass or fail.

Here's the link to the survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSege3hI9SRQJIGDB2w3bIJ-Cj9xxoGzM13IDJJ8UyZz-VbGng/viewform

Thank you to whomever reads this

I feel like this survey is aimed at people who live in the US only.  I won't fudge your numbers by filling it out.  Sorry I guess?

Done...

I hope you pass but that submit a new response link after the response submitted message means that one or more people can totally invalidate any of the final results. I was tempted to myself but my better nature took over.

Filled it out.

Interesting topic too. I was a boy scout, and I honestly believe that there was a good reason why we were taught how to retire old American flags with the proper flag burning ceremony. Even then, we didn't allow those tattered old banners to touch the ground.

Done as well. I did a paper on the history of laws regarding flag desecration and how they were enforced in the US. It was really disturbing reading what the government did to people who they perceived desecrated the flag or did not show enough patriotism during war time. I would never burn a flag but can understand how doing so is speech (agree with Supreme Court decision). Now if I were in charge of the world, would say you could burn it however anyone that manufactured or imported flags into the US had to make them as flame resistant as say a firefighters rollout gear. There is a great print book about this, found it years ago (1993ish) will try and find my paper and post the title/author for you.

I've always found flag burning to be a confusing thing. Had a history teacher that spent way more time on the whole Vietnam era than any other history teacher. Talked about flag and bra burnings and what they meant. Flag burning is a freedom of speech sure but aren't you saying you don't like that freedom by burning a symbol of that freedom? Like women who still want the same rights as men/guns, isn't that a step backwards for you? Just how I've always seen it. *shrugs*

It certainly is a point of discussion that invites not so much as outright "controversy" but more along who views it morally, politically, or as one in the same. That kind of debate is always interesting to hear
