That's not a good way to calculate SE value. Even though you get more HP per skill point the impact of the skill has went down as the number of times it will keep you alive has lowered. The skill is now cheaper and less valuable. Also the extra point we get from grabbing the new SE is pretty much wasted in DDs since all the skills at tier 1 are useless for the class (and the BFT+SE combo now cost 6 points instead of 5).
