If you have a 19 point captain and go for 3 level 4 skills then maybe. I think this skill is much more useful to some DD's and CA, would not bother with it on a BB.

I'm also curious about trying it in my Bismarck.  The fact that the reduction in fire chance changed from -6% to -3% makes it that much more interesting.

Inertia Fuzes benefits the German 128mm secondary far more than the 105s and 150s.  Scharnhorst's main battery is also too small to see a tangible difference in HE performance.

Good point on the Bismarck .... that might be interesting still only on a 19 point captain

If memory serves, the 105s are not affected by the caliber/4 rule, and is caliber/6. The 128s and 150s are caliber/4 though, making the skill less useful on Scharnhorst, Bismarck and Freiderich der Große.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I recall the IFHE only works for main guns.

Tooltip text says mains and secondaries.

Are you saying the +30% bonus to penetration doesn't cause the 105s or 150s to break any significant thresholds?  Honestly curious here.  I'm still not sure how to distribute my skill points and have my Bismarck sitting with 8 undistributed points.

After reading the descriptions, I'd be interested to know, if it does work on the secondaries, not so much for the fire aspect, but the damage increase.

I wouldn't take IFHE for my secondary builds though. I'm all about my secondaries building up fires rather than sheer DPM.

Why would you want less fires from KM BB secondaries? No, no, get DE instead (it now affects secondaries), and watch the world burn! :izmena:

PS Plus on Scharnhorst DE is pretty impactful on the main caliber as well. 10% increase in fire probability is nothing to scoff at, given how often Scharhorst has to sling HE.

It does, but most of those thresholds come into play at T8+.  With T7 MM it's not worth it since they're top-tier a lot more than T8.

So IFHE, Manual Secondaries, and AFT.

What would you choose for your sole T3 skill?
