Second match with Bismarck (manual secondary build) and in both the secondaries won't fire. Not manually or automatically. Checked and unchecked P but nothing happens. What am I missing?

Check your range, hold down the H key.  I have mine at 10.6k range.  Works just fine, after you ctrl click on a ship within range

I'm only guessing you aren't selecting a secondary target. Just because you're "locked" on it don't make the secondaries fire. Same goes for manual AA...The "P" just turns all that jazz off.

P doesn't work for secondaries, thats for AA only. You have to Control Key + Mouse click on ship in range to fire secondaries with manual secondaries because....it says its manual for a reason, they are not automatic

"P" only re-enables them if they're on auto mode.  You have to designate a target for them to fire at all if you have Manual Secondaries.

P disables all non-player controlled guns. So AA and Secondaries...

I am guessing you aren't in range if you're manually selecting your target. If you aren't hitting ctrl+click to get the "A" on the target then they wont fire. Also, only one side will fire now. The side with no target doesn't automatically shoot, so try to avoid going between ships unless you're a Tirpitz.

Again, unless im trying to play a sneaky DD with my Kamikaze or Gremy which is now "IMPOSSIBLE" no thanks to this crap full RPF skill, I NEVER use the "P" key on any of my ships, my AA  and secondaries are on full alert all the time.

Thanks guys. Figured it out. Crtl+click on the ship. I was trying to click on the mini-map ships. Duh.

Bismarck secondaries are down to 8.8 km tho :( My captain needs more points. On Kurfurst they are still 10.6 tho. 88 secondary hits in the first battle :)

So let me get this right.  We NOW have to take an extra step during battle to CTRL-L-CLICK while aiming at the target?

The secondary's used to fire automatically as soon as they got into range.  Has this been recently changed due to an upgrade/patch?

Any advice would help.  Thanks.

You have the manual secondaries skill.  That changes the behavior from automatic to control click the target you want them to shoot.

If they just shot at the target you had highlighted for you main battery it would limit you a lot.

This post thread is from 2017... anyway.

Only if you have manual secondaries captain trained, do you have to ctrl l click. Otherwise they go off automatically.

I was reading through it, then I got to @TenguBlade and decided to check the date.
