Exceedingly poor fps

Just hopped in my Benson for a quick game to try everything out for the first time. I noticed that my fps (which usually stays between 30-35) was at a whopping 6. It only ever went as high as 10, and even after I changed all graphics settings to as low as they'd go I was only getting 15-20.

Any suggestions?

Did your FPS go back to normal immediately after you died? If so, there's a pretty different (but somewhat documented) problem going on.

And this happens regardless of restarting the application and such?

If so, maybe update your graphics drivers?

What are your PC specs?

Updated my graphics driver yesterday, but Warframe apparently didn't like that so I rolled it back to what it was.

As for specs, here's what I found

Intel® Core i7-5500U

CPU@ 2.40 Ghz

Ram 8.00 GB (7.88 GB usable)

64 bit operating system

Graphics Card: Intel HD Graphics 5500

If you need something else let me know and I'll find it.

And yeah it's just as bad restarting it

You didn't post your graphics card. Are you using integrated graphics?

Regardless, it definitely sound likes something in the patch messed you up, assuming nothing else changed on your end.

The only other thing that changed is my location, and my internet improved significantly.

Updated previous post on what I found for my graphics card.

Yep, that's the integrated graphics. While not "ideal", it's still supported according to the system requirements page.

I'd send a ticket into support. That's about all you can do.

Otherwise, go buy a $100 dedicated graphics card. That may improve things significantly.

Also, I overlooked the fact that you are most likely using a laptop, since that is a laptop processor, which isn't necessarily supported.

So you may be out of luck, and I doubt you'll be able to add a graphics card.

Thanks man

WoWS is super easy on graphics cards compared to the abuse of CPUs. CPUs are simply over taxxed heavily on the main core and its not a true multi threaded game, it simply hands off tasks to other cores bu the primary core still has to decided what and where to send it to which is just as low.

Its engine was made for Pentium 4s with single cores and super high GHZ and 512 mg ram. So they lean on the CPU do do many more physics things than the GPU. So FPS is almost always in the CPU an HDD since it doesnt use enough ram.

Did you fix this?

Intel graphics are utter shite, and while this game, compared to many, is easy on a GPU, it's not easy on an APU, which is what you have. AMD APU's do well with it, I know, one of my rigs is APU based and it performs more or less like I'm used to, but it's an AMD APU, not an Intel APU. AMD graphics are simply much, much better, and AMD APU's are simply much, much better.
