Last of my Christmas Containers... and a brief lament...

Counted up the tick-marks for all the Christmas containers I'd purchased and recieved, then spent a few last dollars to even that out to the closest ten last night.

 

(I suppose the sale ends tonight at 1800 US CST. Maybe I'll pick up a few more crates, but who knows...)

 

Did pretty well on my last(?) draw; making it a good place to stop.

 

25 Dragon signals, 25, Dragon signals, 20 WG Anniversary camo, 50 Equal Speed Charlie London, 50 Equal Speed Charlie London, 20 Ocean Soul camo, 1,000 doubloons, and the kickers; Sims and Lo Yang.

 

With the addition of those two ships, I think I have all the premiums except Imp Nik, Gremy, Diana, and Albany.

 

Considering how many forum posters wrote that they couldn't get a ship in a container to save their lives; I will admit I made out pretty much like a bandit as far as the Christmas containers were concerned.

 

My brief lament is that I never did get an Imp Nik; and that I now have a slew of supposedly 'great' ships (Kutuzov, Sims, Anshan, Lo Yang,) to go with long held or recently purchased ships, (Atago, Molotov, Tirpitz,) that even with all my experience in the game, I just can't seem to get a clue about... (One non-premium example is Benson... 75 games played.. 33% WR...)

 

Meanwhile; almost universally reviled dogs like Mutsuki, Colorado, Bogue and Danae I've done well in...

 

So thank you, WarGamming, for all the great ships I've picked up on the cheap; I guess only time will tell though if they will become blessings or a curse...

Me I keep getting Emden's (9) and Ishizuchi's (4) and wanted a Blyskwycka(?)  . Oh well not particularly disappointed as I think I got lot's of good things otherwise .

im guessing you was buying 1$ crates? the best bang for you buck is buying 3$ crates in small batches (example buy 5, open then, buy 5 more)

I spent $70 on the $3 crates and I got nothing but Ocean Soul camos -_- I am pretty ticked off about that TBH.

I got my last 4 containers (all $5's), got an Atlanta and a Imp Nikolai and some camo.  I got 8 ships overall and never did get the Prinz Eugen I was looking for.

I spent $70 on the $3 crates and I got nothing but Ocean Soul camos -_- I am pretty ticked off about that TBH.

 

I spent about 20ish bucks and I really only got doubloons, flags, camo, the Ishi and to be honest if anyone is going to spend as much as some of you guys are spending I would suggest just buy the TIRPITZ or heck the Kutuzov. If you don't already have them... Either ship is beautiful and will earn far more than a Gamble Crate. I am a little ticked but at least I got nearly 3000 Doubloons(must have been more than 1 Ishi) ... that will eventually go to something .. like the Loyang(that's worth opening a crate for) 

 

I relate to the RNG but that is too much money to gamble on 1 game... 70 bucks should go to a dedicated ship(even toward the Ole Miss)

People tell you lots of things on these forums but its mostly wise tales. If you hold your rabbits foot upside down while standing on your head and buying a crate you will get a ship....

 

fact is its gambling and luck based. Some are lucky, others are not. It does go a bit on what ships you have in your port so when you buy a ton of packs at once and you roll ships you can get doubles, but other then that its luck. I spent over 500 bucks and got a gremy, warspite, indy, Marblehead, Murmansk, Arizona, texas, and more flags that I can count. I did end up with a lot of doubloons over 350 days of premium. In the end I regret rolling the dice, should of stopped while I was head. I got lucky early on and after the first 150 dollars I mostly got flags.
