Anyone looking at any new builds for the Donskoi? What are your thoughts and what is everyone going to be doing with their Donskoi captains?

I'm seriously considering taking IFHE for her.

I am seriously considering IFHE on all my high tier cruiser captains except the Minotaur. Imagine the Zao with IFHE? :) Or the Moskva?

Idk if thats such a good idea XD might come back to bite you in the end

Why? If you take DE with it you only lose 1% of HE whichh you can make up for with flags. So potential net gain of 1% HE and 30% pen added. Doesn't seem like a bad idea to me.

Ah, nevermind. I see you don't have any high tier tech tree ships and certainly no Cruisers.

I don't think Moskva gains much for IFHE.

It can already pen most deck and bow armor of BB's it sees.

With HE?

Stock, 220 should pen 36mm of armor.

With IFHE it can pen 47 mm.

Of the top of my head I don't remember what has between 36-47mm of armor but the major threshold is 32 for bows of BB's and the thinnest deck armor they have.

Oh, seems like the higher tier USN BB's have 37-38mm of deck armor. So 203's and Moskva's 220 would only be better against USN ships basically.

Anti USN Bias intensifies?

So say i don't want to get flags, would IFHE be worth it? Have 5 points left and already have DE.

You will only loose like a single % of fire chance. Still pretty worth it.

Yes. I put it on my Donskoi and was having some pretty decent results with it. Still managed to set 10 fires in the game as well.

I will be trying it as well. I'did rather get damage from round hits that seem somewhat more certain than attempt to get a fire and hope it's not put out over and over. Especially considering the new fire prevention skill.
