Secret Santa LOOT: What's your score?

Secret Santa: what did you get? And what do you think the best way to get a good prize would be? I read somewhere that your best bet is with the $3 crates, bought 1-4 at a time. What are your theories? So far I got flags, some doubloons, and an Emden.

Also, is there a real chance of winning an Imperator Nikolai 1 without owning every other premium in the game, or spending over three-hundred bucks?   (damn I really want that ship)

Post your good haul/bad haul results!

Ischizuchi

Marblehead

Warspite

Arizona

Atlanta

Kutuzov

Sharnhorst

Hundreds of flags and camos of all types, and around 8500 doubloons.

All in all I spend around $120 and got over &200 in ships alone so I would say that I did pretty good.

I spent prob about $200 on the Santa crates. Any premiums I didn't get, I already owned.

I got:

Ishizuchi

Gremyashchy

Texas

Murmansk

Marblehead

Warspite

Arizona

Sims

Blyskawica

Atlanta x2

Lo Yang

180 days of premium time

~30,000 doubloons

More camos and flags than I can count

Sadly no Nikolai though

The best prize though? Gremy. Most OP ship in the game.

Well, here's my take on it:

I spend roughly $110 CAD and already had all but 7 of the premium ships available in the list. i ended up getting all 7 of the remaining ones including Prinz Eugen, Kutolov, Lo Yang, Ashan, Warspite, Emden and Nikolai (rough value $260 CAD) as well as 8,000 Gold, 60 days of premium time, lots of good flags and numerous camo's. All in all, $300+ value.

I did get the Nikolai last and I suspected that I wouldn't get it unless I had all the other ships listed, but the best odds for me were $3 ($4.34 CAD) boxes. I'd only buy 3-$3 boxes and 7-$1 boxes per day so my returns were awesome as I got 1-2 premium ships each time.

The Nikolai is a fun ship to play, but it's not worth it if you don't already have many of the premiums on the list as it's still only a tier 4 with no preferred match making.

I think I spent $26 dollars in total. I'm not sure the number or type I got. I also received several from friends.

The good stuff I got was an Endem, 3000 gold, a Tirpitz and an Atlanta.

I'm very happy with what I got from this event.

Tripitz

Prinz Eugen

Indianapolis

Lo Yang

Anshan

Warspite

Texas

Nickolai

Emden

Siapan (Bought with gold from dups) 6250 gold

Missouri (Bought with gold from dups) 20,000 gold

120 days of premium time

Tons of Flags and camos.

I figured it out and I earned well over $800 worth of stuff for about a $200 investment.  I say about a $200 investment because I got all that for around $200. However since I got all the premiums I can get I am finding it not worth buying gifts any more even though I have probably spent anther $30-$40 since then.  For example, where I would earn 1 premium ship for every $18 spend (resulting in duplicates that gave me between 6000-12,000 gold each), I am now only getting Emdens dups which are only worth 1500 gold each.   $18 for 1500 gold and a few flags/camos just isn't worth it.

Spent about 150.

Atago

Prinz Eugen

Texas

Murmansk

Anshan

Blyskawica

Lo Yang

Emden

Ishizuchi

Hundreds of camo and about 10k gold

Best of all I finally got a Nikolai, and that was the first super container I got. Sadly when it was on sale I was out of country with no internet so I missed out the first time.

 I got a Gremmy;

an Imperator;

and a whole slew of Russian and German 10 point commanders, lol.  Two IJN captains, too.

A large supply of doubloons

nearly a year's worth of premium time;

800 or so Dragon flags

enough signals to see me through to the Second Coming- mainly, Zulu, Zulu Hotel, and Equal Speed Charlie london, and Juliet Charlie.   But others, too.

Plenty of camos!

Of late, the only ships I pull are Emdens.  Don't know how many of those I've gotten, lol.  I'd like a Marblehead or Indy- I could use the commander!

That's all right, though- I'm quite happy with doubloons and camos.  I run through tons of both!  Especially happy when Halloween, Gamescom, or Anniversary camos pop up.  Restless Fires are good, too- but I have plenty of Dragon flags, lol.

My score is, I paid $60 for an emden, $60 for an indianapolis and $60 for a warspite :( Yes that is what $180 of $3 boxes netted me...

Emdens and Ishizuchi. Like 5 of each. And a Gremmy and a Nikolai. So, 4 NEW ships I didn't have before? I did get plenty of camos and doubloons though, so there's that.

I spent about 200 bucks, all 3USD boxes.

Your chances of getting a Nikolai are not very good...which is infinitely better than your chances of obtaining one any other way.

My goal was a Gremyaschy.  No joy.

I have spent about $80...a few $5 crates, the rest $3.  After the first several, I bought two $3 at a time, on a pace of several times a week.

But, I did end up with Anshan, Sims, Arizona, Ishizuchi x2, 90 days premium time, about 14,000 doubloons, and a bunch of camo and signal flags.

That is some pretty good haul for $80-ish

Spend $30-40 in total - got some flags, dabloons, XP and an Emden.  Will sell the Emdem like I did the free one I got awhile back - I hate the ship.

Bought 4 X $5 boxes - Camo, credits, XP

Bought 10 X $3 boxes  - Camo, Flags, Arizona, Warspite, Gremyashchy

The ships came in three of the last four boxes. I have zero complaints.

Didn't plan on spending anything, but decided to try my luck.  Mostly bought 3 x $3 boxes.  The ships kept dropping, so I continued.  I got a good haul:

Ishizuchi

Texas

Tirpitz

Warspite

Arizona

Blyskawica

Marblehead

Atago

Mikhail Kutuzov

Murmansk

Anshan

Lo Yang

Scharnhorst

Atlanta

Nickolai

Also have 18k in doubloons, numerous flags and camos, 180 days of premium.

I didn't get the Gremy or a few more, but am happy.

Ishizuchi

Atago

Lo Yang

Marblehead

Atlanta x2 (9000 doubloons!)

1500 doubloons x4

180 days of premium

a ton of flags and camos

I'm really liking the Atlanta.  Had I known how fun it was I would have bought it earlier.

I'm currently grinding Task 9 of the Christmas Convoy missions and if I unlock the last task I'll use the doubloons to buy a Tirpitz to finish it.

Today topped off my Christmas with the Gremyashchy.  And I thought it was stronk before I played her!!!

Premium ships:

Gremyashchy

Imperator Nikolai

Lo Yang

Prinz Eugen

Marblehead

Emden (x2)

The two Russian ships are the only ones I was super excited about.  Kind of wanted Lo Yang.  Prinz Eugen is meh.  I don't really play Tier 2 so Emden not much use.  Already had Murmansk so what's the point of the much worse USN version of the same ship?

I also got lots of flags and other stuff, including Dragon flags which are fantastic.

Was it a bit crazy to buy all of those boxes?  Yes.

Was it a really good deal?  Depends.

There was no other way I could get the Gremy and Nikolai so, yeah, I'd do it again. The three (3) German captains with 10 skill points each is awesome.  One for working up the DD line, one for Bayern who lost hers to the Kurfurst, and one for the Prinz Eugen.  The Marblehead captain lives on the Clemson - bought that back after a long time and realized just how good a ship she is.
