MM new low - uneven balance

So here we go - 3 T5 ships on one side and only T6+ ships on the other side.

I'm not sure how is this justified unless MM have real nasty eye on me and my division mates (that is us - T5)

MM has trouble with divisions at times, only so much it can do depending on who is in the queue at that moment.

I remember when Tier 4 could see tier 7 and 5 could see 9, and Carriers didn't get mirrored. This isn't a new low, it's still better than before. Marblehead and Murmansk aren't even seeing anything in that match that they have to be abnormally scared of since they should be scared of everything all the time, and Gremyaschy may as well be a tier 7.

Tier 7 is a bit much, but she's definitely a tier 5.5.

Pretty easy to game the MM at T5

 

Just Div with a T4 CV and you will almost be guaranteed to be top tier with a T5 ship.

Heh! In all fairness this is a corner case. Normally the MM isn't nearly as drunk as it was before and I can't say I have many complaints about it now as far as building even teams goes. Obviously the T5-6 thing is broken but that's a somewhat different matter.

Your three divisioned ships were the only T5s in the game, what was it going to do, stick you on opposite teams? We all know the matchmaker hates waiting, so if there weren't any other T5s in the queue, there you go.

Thank you for posting the full ss as it does clear it up. While I was sure someone was grouped with a six, I was wrong. However, it does explain the imbalance as if there was not a division of 3 premiums in Tier 5, the MM "tried" to compensate.

 

I recognize your name, but my memory fails me at how long you've been around. While it's been a very long time since I've seen this, do you recall the truly imbalanced matches? I'm talking 12 on 9's or 12 on 10's due to low server population, time of day and yes, oh yes (sarcasm implied) the fail divions? 

 

Whenever divisions are involved, for some reason the MM gets huffy. Regardless of premium or not, but since you guys were on that cusp Tier, it probably made the servers start to sweat. lol

I too have noticed that some of these "absolute" rules are being broken, regardless of divisions. Didn't matter because we won, but I had a NOLA game today where there wasn't a single T8 CA on the enemy team. I also had a game in the Mahan where the enemy team had a Lo Yang and we didn't get a T8 DD. Tier matching is supposed to be inviolable, yet these errors are occurring with ~16k people on the server.

I was long enough to remember this. What puzzles me is that by excuse of not long wait MM bringing T5's to T6-T7 battle to one side only. That's really bad practice. Hope developers look into this and fix it. Few minutes of wait is better than unequal to such degree matches

Update: was in battle T5-7 with only one T5 ship (and it was not in division). I guess what we actually having here is people stopping playing T5 so MM have to put T5's even as singles (will post team lineup screenshot tomorrow). But WG may keep saying that there's nothing wrong with T5 in current MM...
